Darn it. No one has said something stupid for me to rip on today. I've got a question: WHERE IS GPB?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?

RavenousMetalist87 10-14-2004 10:06 PM

*bump*

Lately, I decided to relisten to a few thrash albums while I was doing my homework, and I don't see how low the CD volume for The Legacy is compared to Season in the Abyss and Violent Revolution.

It's like Testament got a bad producer or bad remaster source because the volume on that album is low...x_x

FatalEnergy 10-14-2004 10:13 PM

Yeah, the Legacy is my fav album and it pisses me off, because when Im trying to listen to it on my cd player it isnt very loud
I just remembered that I mentioned Hades a lot earlier in this thread, but no one had any of their work or responded.

Anyways, you guys like Torture Squad?
****ing oath. Excellent record. I tried counting the riffs but stopped at 246. Get a load of these riffs, Dark Angel. ****! so many riffs. RIFFS, Riffs, Riffs!

And yeah, i'm currently pimping them out to most of my metal mates. Everyone deserves to hear some of their stuff. Any Favourite songs?

NP: Kreator - Endorama (Actually, this song is pretty catchy!)

JMetallica 10-15-2004 01:02 AM
Get em all on the 56k? Not likely.

And i've never heard of Hades...
Why not? I got em all when i was on dial-up. :D

manuscriptreplica 10-15-2004 03:58 AM
JMet pimped them a looooong time ago. I didn't check them out. Manu said something funny like "the vocals sound like a sewer pipe."
Stop with these accusations! Torture Squad are great, death/thrash from Brazil :) The only downloads are only at about 60 bit rate though, so the quality is pretty crappy. But it's good stuff, highly recommended: http://www.mit.edu/~levente/mp3s/

JMetallica 10-15-2004 04:23 AM

ACtually, they are really decent rips. If you heard it on a cd, it could probably pass as decent sound quality. :thumb:

NP: Mortification - At War With War

Apocalyptic Raids 10-15-2004 05:40 AM

Horror And Torture slays, love that Angel Of Death homage at about 2:37

\m/

Riva 10-15-2004 06:06 AM

Yes, going from a high sound volume cd to a low sound cd whilst driving can be very frustrating.

manuscriptreplica 10-15-2004 08:36 AM

Mortification are great, get Scrolls of the Megilloth, everyone.

DimebagDarrell 10-15-2004 09:39 AM

Mosdef. How do you count riffs? When does one riff end, and another begin?

LordDargon 10-15-2004 04:32 PM

Whoa, I got Pandemonium. I thought it would be like pretty generic-type death metal, but I got a seriously smashed-in face. Easily the best death/thrash I've ever heard. They kill Sadus or Solstice. They caused me to commit an act of thrash (i.e. bang your head until something goes really wrong)

And Heathen are pretty cool too. I have some tracks off Breaking the Silence.

NP: Torture Squad - Horror and Torture

FatalEnergy 10-15-2004 08:58 PM

Morbid Saint is some really harsh thrash, I dig it

Too bad they didnt really go any further, they should have released another album

JMetallica 10-15-2004 11:50 PM

Didnt they release like 3 or so albums? I Know they released 2 albums at the very least.

But yeah, great stuff. :thumb:

FatalEnergy 10-16-2004 02:10 AM

No they only released one real album

http://www.metal-archives.com/ <----------- Go to and type in Morbid Saint

manuscriptreplica 10-16-2004 02:14 AM

Uh... on metal-archives it says they released 2 albums... Spectrum of Death, 1988, and Lock up your Children in 1989.

DimebagDarrell 10-16-2004 10:34 AM

ive heard a few morbid saint songs a while ago yeh there pretty good but its not easy to find there album :(

RCA 10-16-2004 03:02 PM

Dargon, I love that Wormed album, I've been listening to it constantly \m/

If you want the rest of that Heathen album, you can get it from me on Soulseek.

RavenousMetalist87 10-16-2004 05:50 PM

I was at Tower today and bought 2 new thrash CDs:

Kreator - Terrible Certainty
Destruction - Metal Discharge

Kreator was 12 bucks, and that was a great deal, and the Destruction CD comes with 7 bonus tracks which is cool.

good albums I have them both :thumb:

RavenousMetalist87 10-16-2004 10:16 PM

I listened to Metal Discharge while I did my homework, and Mark Reign did an excellent job on drumming to their cover of "Whiplash". Also, Mike's guitar work is awesome too XD.

Schimer's vocals aren't like what I expected, but he can play bass like nothing. I'm really getting into International thrash lately, but I still my repsect for the good ol' US of A thrash bands.

DimebagDarrell 10-17-2004 03:51 AM

Descrators of the New Age is probably my favon metal discharge

anyone heard any Protector?

JMetallica 10-17-2004 04:36 AM

Destruction are ****ing awesome. I'm listening to Eternal Dev. right now. Awesome ****e.

Metal Discharge, is a pretty decent album, although it lacks what anitchrist before it had, in intensity and general catchiness.
