Zildjian 01-06-2007 01:22 PM

yea thats sick..

fishbulb 01-06-2007 01:22 PM

You can't see it at all though. It's taken from a camera phone with shitty quality and the guy holding it is shaking so much he must have parkinson's disease.

maniac0796 01-06-2007 01:24 PM

I bought 10,000 days by tool and scenes from a memory by dream theater today

The tool case is so cool! The music is awesome as well

And dream theater is awesome to!

Josiah 01-06-2007 01:24 PM

Ah I watched a few versions now. He was a evil and bad person.

fishbulb 01-06-2007 01:25 PM

Nice, be sure to listen to the "shrink and grow" section of fatal tragedy on scenes from a memory. If you don't know what i'm talking about just ask and i'll try to explain it.

Josiah 01-06-2007 01:27 PM

I have that.. good song, not sure what you are refering too?

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 01:28 PM

Beyond this life is an amazing song for solo's. On that album!

Berk 01-06-2007 01:31 PM

Tool > DT.

Swish..

maniac0796 01-06-2007 01:34 PM

having life in your drums > than being able to put a centered spirit measure over them

And super cameron - Fair enough. I have a lot to thank this forum for. In the year and a bit i've been here, i've probably learned more about drums than i ever would of from another forum or source.

The internet is NOT serious business.
FTW

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 01:35 PM

I read only a few words of that and couldnt be bothered to read the rest......

Its ONLY and internet forum as you say.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 01:38 PM

Meh i think it died dude.

Static 01-06-2007 01:54 PM

Hey Berk who's set is that?

And yes, Tool>DT, all though DT is mah 3rd favorite band, Tool being my first.

SfaM>10k

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 01:56 PM

I like dream theater alot more. Tool has a huge presence if you know what i mean but i think there's so much more playing and stuff in dt!

Futuro 01-06-2007 01:57 PM

I dont like DT because of the power metal vocalist.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 01:58 PM

I like the vocalist personally. Adds a different element to the music if you get what im trying to say.

maniac0796 01-06-2007 01:58 PM

James la brie or whatever = not powermetal

Hansi Kursh, ZP Theart, the sonata arctica singers are all power metal.

I mean, james has a pretty powerful voice and stuff, but it's not like he sings kinda opera style...

Josiah 01-06-2007 01:59 PM

haha i never threatend to leave.. where did you get that from?

The internet is serious business. Only a fool would think otherwise.

More laws are made per day about the internet then anything else.

Haha or do all the people living in a dream land think MXTabs.net went away because big J didn't want to have the site anymore? Ha!

Futuro 01-06-2007 02:00 PM

Well he sure is as cheesy as most power metal singers.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 02:00 PM

Dragonforce-Gods of ice, that got some cool opera singing lol!

Futuro 01-06-2007 02:00 PM

Dragonforce suck

Josiah 01-06-2007 02:01 PM
If Damo is threatening to leave, let him. Same with Josiah.

If Jeremy has actually gotten in trouble for us sharing audio/video here, correct me.
I never said that, nor indicated it in any way. Strike 1.

Jeremy is a business man, he's already had a site shut down for copyright issues (mxtabs.net). Strike 2

The internet is serious business, see above. Strike 3.

Ok dude, 3 strikes... that makes for one stupid friggin post.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 02:02 PM
Dragonforce suck
You suck!

Static 01-06-2007 02:02 PM

True words, Marshall.

Maynard>Kevin

maniac0796 01-06-2007 02:03 PM

Dragonforce, the only band to recycle their first album twice.

Futuro 01-06-2007 02:03 PM
You suck!
Sure, but not nearly as much as dragonforce.

I went to see them live.

The opening act blew them out of the water (Between the buried and me) Dragon force played a big sloppy mess. No song was even recognizable. They are pure **** live.

I dont see why they mess up either. Its not like there music is in anyway technical.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 02:06 PM

Ha lol i can play all there song with ease.

Not

maniac0796 01-06-2007 02:07 PM

The reason they mess up so much live is the fact they get pissed before a show. They're so up their own arses, they don't realise that if you do that, you become sloppy and ****.

Futuro 01-06-2007 02:08 PM
Ha lol i can play all there song with ease.

Not
Don't worry, they can't either.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 02:09 PM

Opinions on the drummer?

Dave*Grohl 01-06-2007 02:09 PM

The James Bond Casino Royale theme song by Chris Cornell is awesome

maniac0796 01-06-2007 02:10 PM

Dave is actually the only half decent member of the band. I mean, yeah, he's more repatative than a perpetual motion machine, but he's a good guy when it comes down to playing and stuff.

trysthedrummer 01-06-2007 02:10 PM
The James Bond Casino Royale theme song by Chris Cornell is awesome
Lol me and seafroggies think so too!

I have it on me myspace

Infact I ordered the single a few days ago

Futuro 01-06-2007 02:10 PM
Opinions on the drummer?
lol

edit: We can always use the meg white excuse "He does what he does good"

maniac0796 01-06-2007 02:12 PM

Anyone else think the intro to reflection by tool is the same as the intro to osmosis by liquid tension experiment

Pleaseme 01-06-2007 02:16 PM

Me 3, it's wicked. It's awsome actually hearing it at the cinema with the opening sequence.

moogoogaipan 01-06-2007 02:19 PM
There are much better forums to post in if you want a more mature and educated discussion place for music, and I also post in them.
That's why I'm a member of the PAS. All the standardly notated transcriptions I could want and a forum full of members who's knowledge exceeds my own by leaps and bounds. Definitely provides better stimulation.

Though I've grown to almost feel as though I know the regulars here, and that's kind of fun. I like coming back and being like, well, who's here right now. "Oh [so and so] is here, how's it going, buddy?!"

What actually makes me upset is that sometimes I anticipate people's response so much that I'll just mull around the internet instead of practicing.

the_pure_drummer 01-06-2007 02:25 PM

Anybody like the killers?

trysthedrummer 01-06-2007 02:25 PM
Me 3, it's wicked. It's awsome actually hearing it at the cinema with the opening sequence.
hehe 3 of us! When someone asked me go and see it with them (second time!) I was like yeah definately (just to watch the beginning bit!)

na its not bad film, good music

maniac0796 01-06-2007 02:26 PM
Anybody like the killers?
No, they suck

Just like Vater sticks.
