Municipal Waste and Toxic Holocaust were fun last night.
Yeah, I was there. I've seen Municipal Waste a lot and still have the most fun every time I see them. Toxic Holocaust was awesome, first time i've seen them. |

Seeing them tomorrow... I know how the performance is going to be but between this set and punks losing their minds I think its going to be good times. Ignite's playing too. |
I'd rather see Ignite play their BB cover. Set list looks good enough though. The vocals on that new record completely killed it for me.

I agree. I saw HRs band play on a half-pipe in some warehouse a couple months ago though because there were a bunch of rumors going around that Bad Brains were going to do a secret set, and it was awesome. HR is definitely just a shadow of his former self... but even with the chill music the few punks there were getting rowdy as **** and there were even a couple fights.
|
No Big Takeover? Weak.
HR is playing in a diff room the same night Del is playing here, i might peep it. |
I am listening to Champion for the first time, and I really dig it.
There is so much **** that I take so long in getting around to listen to, and then I'm always pissed that it took me so long to listen to it, like Braid or Everyone Knows this is Nowhere. |
I know you explain it in your post but you seriously just started listening to Champion?
|
I have a champion cd on my ipod but have never listened to it. I don't know why.

Yup. |
On Nov 10 at the Music Hall of Williamsburg in Brooklyn ****ed Up's set will be a LIVE TAKE to be thematically included in Richard Roepnacks upcoming movie BURN. BURN follows the adventures of two arsonist thief lesbian republicans as they tear up dystopian New York City and evade the police, drunk bail bondsmen and aliens.
At one point in the film one of the characters winds up in a club to lose someone on her tail, and walks in on a ****ed Up show. The camera follows her through the crowd during the concert as she finally makes her way on stage with a cop and a bail bondsman trailing. ****ed Up's set, and anyone watching it will be part of the film. It is being shot by multiple camera angles throughout the building (on 35mm film!). There are no "takes" and no re-do's, however the shot goes and whatever the crowd does, thats how the scene will be captured for the movie. SATURDAY NOVEMBER 10 MUSIC HALL OF WILLIAMSBURG (66 North 6 St. Brooklyn NY) 8PM price TBA 16+ ****ED UP MIND ERASER 86 MENTALITY +1
This sounds pretty awesome. |
Sounds cool, usually stuff like that is free though. I'd go if it didn't cost an arm and a leg to get into the city these days.

thanks a lot. and no, our drummer is away at college right now, and me and one of the guitarists are still in high school so we won't be doing anything until winter break. I think we might be playing in nashville over winter break though (first week of januaryish) |
Sounds sick dude, I'd be down on going to that (Nashville is just a cool city anways) so let me know details when you get them.
Have you ever heard the band Stabbed By Words? From the sounds of your band I think you may dig them http://www.myspace.com/stabbedbywords |
Nah, I'd never heard of them before. They're pretty good though.

Saw Today Is The Day, pretty rad
|
There is a pretty high chance I'll be spending next spring in Australia for school. Siked for that. Getting broke at the moment and need to find money to go to Floorpunch.
New Terror leaked. Same old, but still good. |
Word is Ian Mackaye died this morning.
|
Whered you hear that?
|
Wikipedia says he's alive.
|
The rumor is basically
"Ian Macakye got hit by a car at a Fugazi show at the Ventura Theater, New Brunswick Police are investigating, he was pronounced dead in a Baltimore hospital room" Ventura Theater is in Ventura, CA, and even if it was in Jersey they wouldn't rush him to Baltimore which is a few hours away. Plus Fugazi is on hiatus and doesn't play. Obv unture |
Jesus Christ how does anyone believe and repost this shit?
|
Some dumb kids on myspace posting bulletins.
Honestly how did anyone believe the the Baltimore hospital is beyond me. |
He is dead.
|
The fact that Fugazi played a show, let alone in NJ should be enough to tell you its fake.
