Dredge are very good, but I don't think they're close to as good as everyone makes them out to be.

They don't have high energy music, but I quite enjoyed their live show. I think its probably boring if you're not a fan though, because you really have to know the music.

And I didn't know Dredg's music at all when I saw them. I knew 3 of the songs they played.

Interesting, El Cielo does it for most people, though personally I think my favorite is still Leitmotif. Balances their hard edge and ambience the best I think.

Really? That's crazy. All the shows I've been to with people everyone knows what the X's are for, even at the Iron Maiden show. I'm still to this day confused why you'd dress up all sxe for a Maiden show. It's like the antithesis of what metal's all about :-\

I'm sure they'll know what it is at shows. But the people in my school will be oblivious, for the most part. They seriously have no idea what hardcore is or what straight edge is, and it is extremely rare that I see someone from school at a show.
