haha i get frustrated with him sometimes. we talk a lot though, most days. brent's not really a bad guy, you just have to not take him seriously. i don't let him get to me most of the time but we debate each other for fun. i like talking to him cause he's a smart guy and we've had really different life experiences so that difference makes it interesting i guess. you guys just let brent get under your skin too much i think.

i bought the first two kingdom hearts and really gave them both a shot but just couldn't get into them. i love final fantasy, i'm one of those people that will play those games for 12 hours straight. i didn't like it cause the fighting system was just too simple and all you did was press the button to swing the keyblade to win. i was really dissapointed that it wasn't active time battle system. i was really in it for the final fantasy tie in and was hoping it would be more like a jrpg, it was just too casual for me. plus i don't really give a shti about disney. really wanted to like it though.

Most people don't take too kindly to him using this forum as his personal entertainment platform, and particularly making this thread all about him. In years gone by posting in this thread was fun, now it's just a retread of the same hackneyed arguments which brent loves and get entertainment from, but alienates other posters and annoys others.

What I've noticed is he really doesn't like not being able to bait people into arguments. He rarely ever gets me to argue with him, despite his ludicrous claims that I'm a terrible lawyer and couldn't do it properly or his newest one of calling me a chronic masterbator (I get called worse things in jest by my best friends I think it's rather quaint). I'm wise to his trolling methods and I just laugh at the guy now.

I don't doubt Brent's not a bad guy, but if he'd just fucking calm it down with the baiting of people into arguments people wouldn't jump down his throat every single day.

More or less, he isn't a bad guy to talk with sometimes but his behavior outside of tinychat/facebook chat is just irritating and unnecessary, he blames us not being able to take his differing opinions but it all stems from him not understanding how to converse without being an asshat, troll or not.

Even for a troll, I think it's creepy the way he tries and collates personal negative information on users here to use in the future.

Like he actually questions people on this, I told him a load of bullshit in a tinychat that I was going to get an STD test, and he asked me a few times on here and in chat if I'd got the results - he was kinda disappointed when I told him I was clean.

can't say I really care for turned based RPG battles either, victory is almost entirely determined by time spent hacking away levelling up, acquiring the best weapons and magic and there really is little to no skill involved in beating even the most difficult bosses. low level runs are a different story, but most don't play this way

there's nothing wrong with [I]Kingdom Hearts[/I] battle system if you ask me, it's a lot of fun and some of the bosses are imaginative and difficult. only partway through and it has hooked me

games like final fantasy 4, 6, 7 and 9 (my favorite turn based rpgs) take skill and strategy. sure you can level grind to beat every thing easily. or you can just go through and fight whatever random encounters you come across while heading towards your objectives and think on your feet and use strategy to beat the oponents. you can figure out what the enemies' elemental weakness is and use that, or come up with other clever ways of beating the enemies. it's not all about level grinding and supplies, you can do it that way, but it's not nearly as fun
