In the Southwest, particularly Arizona and New Mexico, lots of Native American churches allow you to partake in a peyote ceremony, provided you follow all of the rules and don't be a jerkoff. I think it'd be pretty interesting to experience it in that context.

Against Me!, The Ataris, and Talib Kweli are playing here for free on September 29th for this College Campus Kickoff thing. Can't wait to see Against Me!, i've only seen them once and that was a while ago.
