messy, depressed, introverted, feels invisible, does not make friends easily, nihilistic, reveals little about self, fragile, dark, bizarre, feels undesirable, dislikes leadership, reclusive, weird, irritable, frequently second guesses self, unassertive, unsympathetic, low self control, observer, worrying, phobic, suspicious, unproductive, avoidant, negative, bad at saving money, emotionally sensitive, does not like to stand out, dislikes large parties, submissive, daydreamer
heh. pretty much. |
Now you see, mine was the complete opposite.
social, outgoing, worry free, optimistic, upbeat, tough, likes large parties, makes friends easily, rarely irritated, open, enjoys leadership, trusting, dominant, thrill seeker, strong, does not like to be alone, assertive, mind over heart, confident, controlling, feels desirable, likes the spotlight, loves food, social chameleon, hard working, concerned about others
But I dont think some of these were right since their respective trait things were at like, 30%, like the spotlight one, and narcissism was only 43%, and the same for need to dominate, but that makes it seem so much higher. My accomodation was at 83%, but avoidant was at 70%, which is why I called myself a selfless robot. I guess its kind of right though. I get along with pretty much everyone, I care about people, and im pretty solid emotionally and I dont get pissed, but tahts only because im kind of cold or numb when it comes to expressing my feelings verbally. And i can see the 70% avoidant part, where it says about disliking being touched and being somewhat asexual. |

Perhaps the traits percentages are backwards, oe something. |
Naw, they seemed about right, remembering how I answered and knowing who I am. Just 2 or 3 parts of description at the end were just a bit off. Pretty accurate though.
|
Nah I meant like the whole percentage thing. Everything it actually said in the following stuff was accurate, but the percentage thingy and what it said seemed very contradictive.
|
Maybe just a litte bit, because my extraversion was at a 63, and that resembles the description at the end.
|
It's odd how that test can actually read you. Although the type of questions pretty much give them direct answers I suppose.
It basically tells you what you tell it. |
Yeah, but it puts it into better perspective.
|
Yeah for sure.
Although, i knew exactly what it was going to tell me before it did. If only because I've taken it before. I just wanted to see if anything would be different. |

meh, less accurate than when i've done it in the past, i'm a tad too happy to be brutally honest and negative or something today |
messy, disorganized, not rule conscious, rebellious, rash, weird, ambivalent about chaos, likes bizarre things, anti-authority, not good at saving money, not a perfectionist, leaves many things unfinished, low self control, strange, desires more attention, romantic daydreamer, abstract, impractical, unproductive, leisurely, likes the unknown
no thnx the rest looks about right i think |
social, outgoing, worry free, optimistic, upbeat, tough, likes large parties, makes friends easily, rarely irritated, open, enjoys leadership, trusting, dominant, thrill seeker, strong, does not like to be alone, assertive, mind over heart, confident, controlling, feels desirable, likes the spotlight, loves food, social chameleon, hard working, concerned about others
The bolded ones I might take issue with. I don't think the word "tough" has ever been used to describe me, I'm a huge chicken weenie, and even though I love partying and people I still generally prefer to be on my own. On a different subject, I'm such a terrible American. I turn 20 on Friday and I'm not registered to vote. I didn't even know what this election was for until this afternoon! |
Wow, that's terrible Joel :-\
Voter turnout was like 40%, that's huge. And Democrats took over :D |
Man I got too much going on to be educated enough where I might actually have the knowledge to make an educated vote.
Conversations I had today: Person: Hey Joel, did you vote? Me: There was an election? Person: Are you even registered? Me: No? Person: Well have you heard that the Democrats have taken control of the House? Me: The who's have taken over the what?? |
pfft.
musicians. no offense but i'm almost positive i could have that exact same conversation with people if i walked over to the music school. my favorite is still the "oh man, i think i'll have to cancel my lesson tomorrow." "why?" "well i have a six page paper due monday." "that's like 4 days away still..." "yeah i know, jeez, i hope i have enough time, maybe i should skip class too..." refl |
i took that test.
introverted, irritable, feels invisible, observer, depressed, does not enjoy leadership, reveals little about self, dislikes large parties, feels undesirable, does not like to stand out, submissive, suspicious, emotionally sensitive, not a thrill seeker, solitude loving, likes silence, fragile, second guesses self, negative, unadventurous, fearful, weird, focuses on people's hidden motives, paranoid, phobic, dependent, cautious, avoidant, semi intellectual weird, most of them are true :/ |

I have 27 hours of class a week, including two days a week where my first class is at 8am and I don't get out of marching band until 8pm. Not to mention all of the time that is needed for practicing and all of the reading and homework for my music ed coursework, plus trying to schedule dates and transportation for all of the observations at elementary, middle, and high schools that are required for music ed majors. Adding in that if there's a game that weekend, my Friday and Saturdays are gone... plus away games that the whole band goes on which takes up the WHOLE weekend. PLUS, I have to find some time to learn, record and analyze 30 folk songs and a 10 page paper on the philosophy of music education for final projects. Any free time I get is spent on the internet or just doing nothing. |

Meh, I'm jaded because my roommate does all of that plus engineering classes and he manages fine. He's the one making fun of the music majors most of the time in fact haha. But, meh, as an engineer someone complaining about a little 6 page paper is silly. |

ANd since these types are widely accepted throughout psychology, just google your type and there will be entire essays about yourself.

Of the four aspects of strategic analysis and definition, it is the contingency planning or entailment organizing role that reaches the highest development in Masterminds. Entailing or contingency planning is not an informative activity, rather it is a directive one in which the planner tells others what to do and in what order to do it. As the organizing capabilities the Masterminds increase so does their inclination to take charge of whatever is going on. It is in their abilities that Masterminds differ from the other Rationals, while in most of their attitudes they are just like the others. However there is one attitude that sets them apart from other Rationals: they tend to be much more self-confident than the rest, having, for obscure reasons, developed a very strong will. They are rather rare, comprising no more than, say, one percent of the population. Being very judicious, decisions come naturally to them; indeed, they can hardly rest until they have things settled, decided, and set. They are the people who are able to formulate coherent and comprehensive contingency plans, hence contingency organizers or "entailers." Masterminds will adopt ideas only if they are useful, which is to say if they work efficiently toward accomplishing the Mastermind's well-defined goals. Natural leaders, Masterminds are not at all eager to take command of projects or groups, preferring to stay in the background until others demonstrate their inability to lead. Once in charge, however, Masterminds are the supreme pragmatists, seeing reality as a crucible for refining their strategies for goal-directed action. In a sense, Masterminds approach reality as they would a giant chess board, always seeking strategies that have a high payoff, and always devising contingency plans in case of error or adversity. To the Mastermind, organizational structure and operational procedures are never arbitrary, never set in concrete, but are quite malleable and can be changed, improved, streamlined. In their drive for efficient action, Masterminds are the most open-minded of all the types. No idea is too far-fetched to be entertained-if it is useful. Masterminds are natural brainstormers, always open to new concepts and, in fact, aggressively seeking them. They are also alert to the consequences of applying new ideas or positions. Theories which cannot be made to work are quickly discarded by the Masterminds. On the other hand, Masterminds can be quite ruthless in implementing effective ideas, seldom counting personal cost in terms of time and energy.
that test sucked this is not me hardly at all :-\ edit: nm, other essays are much more applicable to me about the same type haha. |
Stability results were moderately high which suggests you are relaxed, calm, secure, and optimistic. Orderliness results were moderately low which suggests you are, at times, overly flexible, improvised, and fun seeking at the expense of reliability, work ethic, and long term accomplishment. Extraversion results were low which suggests you are very reclusive, quiet, unassertive, and secretive
Thats actually pretty true. Except for "risk taker" and "submissive"....fuck that. |

Just so happens I'm 3% of the population.. ANd since these types are widely accepted throughout psychology, just google your type and there will be entire essays about yourself.
Introverted Sensing Thinking Perceiving
Like their fellow SPs, ISTPs are fundamentally Performers (note the capital 'P' :-)), but as Ts their areas of interest tend to be mechanical rather than artistic like those of ISFPs, and unlike most ESPs they do not present an impression of constant activity. On the contrary, they lie dormant, saving their energy until a project or an adventure worthy of their time comes along--and then they launch themselves at it. The apparently frenzied state that inevitably ensues is actually much more controlled than it appears--ISTPs always seem to know what they're doing when it comes to physical or mechanical obstacles--but the whole chain of events presents a confusing and paradoxical picture to an outsider. ISTPs are equally difficult to understand in their need for personal space, which in turn has an impact on their relationships with others. They need to be able to "spread out"--both physically and psychologically--which generally implies encroaching to some degree on others, especially if they decide that something of someone else's is going to become their next project. (They are generally quite comfortable, however, with being treated the same way they treat others--at least in this respect.) But because they need such a lot of flexibility to be as spontaneous as they feel they must be, they tend to become as inflexible as the most rigid J when someone seems to be threatening their lifestyle (although they usually respond with a classic SP rage which is yet another vivid contrast to their "dormant," impassive, detached mode). These territorial considerations are usually critical in relationships with ISTPs; communication also tends to be a key issue, since they generally express themselves non-verbally. When they do actually verbalize, ISTPs are masters of the one-liner, often showing flashes of humor in the most tense situations; this can result in their being seen as thick-skinned or tasteless. Like most SPs, ISTPs may have trouble with rote and abstract classroom learning, which tend not to be good measures of their actual intelligence. They tend, sometimes with good reason, to be highly skeptical of its practical value, and often gravitate towards classes in industrial arts; part-time vocational/ technical programs can be useful to even the college-bound ISTP. In terms of careers, mechanics and any of the skilled trades are traditional choices, and those ISTPs with strong numerical as well mechanical gifts tend to do extremely well in most areas of engineering. Working as paramedics or firefighters can fulfill the ISTP need to live on the edge; they are at their best in a crisis, where their natural disregard for rules and authority structures allows them to focus on and tackle the emergency at hand in the most effective way. ISTPs with more sedate careers usually take on high-risk avocations like racing, skydiving, and motorcycling. While aware of the dangers involved, they are so in touch with the physical world that they know they can get away with much smaller safety margins than other types.
|
