Would you pay $30 + on a record? Sold only on tour. 400 made?
no.

NewKindofArmy03 08-18-2007 12:01 AM

Reiner and Scott-good dudes, backed hard.

Wisdom in Chains was the best band of the night.

edit-band by band thing if anyone cares

Reign Supreme-best reaction i've seen them get so far. They ruled, only bad thing was them starting off the set playing Pantera-I'm Broken, but stopping after the intro.

Fight Like Hell-I didnt watch them, but supposedly they covered Floorpunch. Reiner or Scott, what song did they do?

Verse-They were really good, kid broke his arm diving on like the second song.

Wisdom in Chains-like I said, best band of the night for me. They covered C'ock Sparrer-Because You're Young.

Iron Age-They were awesome, new stuff is sounding good.

Have Heart-Got the best reaction of the night. They sounded great, I don't know why i've never listened to them that much.

Bloodclot-Pretty bad. They did a few Bad Brains and Cro-Mags songs though.

All Out War-Soooo heavy, kids were getting destroyed.

Agnostic Front-Didn't go on until like 12:30 so I only stayed for a few songs. They opened with Victim in Pain. Also, a majority of the kids were already gone.

whiteminority 08-18-2007 12:54 AM

Have Heart is far better live than recorded. I saw them Saturday in Nashville and I left feeling really surprised about how good they are. I have only heard that cd that came out recently and I didn't see anything special, but I see why people lose it for them.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-18-2007 12:58 AM

Bob and Scott rule. Scott's up to my shoulder, but I'm kind of tail.

Reign Supreme - ruled as expected, but I think now they're putting out an EP and not till like christmas. or at leasts thats what i think i heard. more pantera is needed.

Fight Like Hell - Covered Let It Ride, was siked when they did. I only watched them cause my friend and i talked to the singer before everything started. decent band, but i'll probably never get around to listening to them again

Verse - was eating during their set, but sounded good and everyone seemed into it.

Wisdom in Chains - i've never heard them before, but their set looked fun as hell. i should get into this band

Iron Age - the band rules, but for some reason everytime i see them i wind up just watching from the side. songs did rule though

Have Heart - Tons of kid stage diving. I was kind of hoping they'd pull the guns up set again since all of rise and fall was there today.

Bloodclot - heavy as hell, but terrible. covers were solid but ultimately the bands boring

All Out War - i was expecting it to be a little worse, but around this time kids starting filtering out. i ended up leaving like 1 or 2 songs before they finished. lives would have been lost if they played in the middle of the day

Agnostic Front - bounced before i saw them since the show was running late and i live far away.

santi3hg 08-18-2007 01:02 AM

Whose on for tomorrow?

And honestly, Have Heart is alright but I just don't see why they would get the best reaction.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-18-2007 01:05 AM

i'm not a big fan ether, but they're you're typical sing along and stage dive band, someone has to take champion's place. Tomorrow is...

Righteous Jams
Death Before Dishonor
Cold World
RingWorm
Strength For A Reason
Cast Aside
Ambitions
Rise And Fall
Triple Threat
Know The Score
Meltdown
Bitter End
The Mongoloids
Brain Dead
My Turn To Win
Steel Nation
Energy
Swamp Thing

I completely forgot Cast Aside is playing and now I'm even more siked for tomorrow.

santi3hg 08-18-2007 01:09 AM

Wow saturday is tight.

Singer from Fight Like Hell is a good dude.

And lol I guess your right on somebody needing to take Champions place.

NewKindofArmy03 08-18-2007 01:29 AM

Not into Cast Aside at all really. I know my friend is going to probably be really late in picking me up tomorrow, but hopefully i'm there by the time Steel Nation goes on.

I just tried sleeping for the past 45 minutes, the buzzing in my ear is so loud though haha.

And I wished I watched Fight Like Hell just for that cover. From what I heard outside though, I wasn't into them at all.

Let's Chop Cats! 08-18-2007 01:35 AM

Ugh I'm waking up in 6 hours. Definitely going to try and sleep in the car. I still have the ringing too, and at the end of the weekend its just going to non-stop unless we go deaf first.

santi3hg 08-18-2007 01:38 AM

Guys from Steel Nation are good dudes as well. They are good live, tight band overall.

NewKindofArmy03 08-18-2007 01:46 AM

Yeah i've only seen them once but they were great.

Haha, and since it was brought up on another board, what was with those 2 girls dressed like hookers? They seemed to be upfront for every band putting their hands up like they knew the words.

shane italian 08-18-2007 03:27 AM

whats with this reign supreme band?

there has to be another reason for the dick sucking, because they suck

BuddyBigsby 08-18-2007 09:40 AM

yeah sorry guys but reign supreme SUCKED yesterday

withering_rose 08-18-2007 07:50 PM

off topic but, anyone else here ever heard of a band called Pour Habit? Punk band from compton. I doubt you could classify them as hardcore, there is some oldschool hardcore in a lot of their songs. if anyone saw strung out when they were touring (can't remember if it was earlier this year or last year) they were playing a lot of shows on that tour. they've also got some reggae in some of they're songs as well.

I got fucking clobbered today. Kicked in the head twice, had my shoulders jumped on at least 20 times, got knocked over a couple times. Overall I'm in a lot of pain right now. Ringworm was amazing and the best set the entire day. Righteous Jams was fun but the dudes didn't seem into it but i kind of expected that since i think tonight is one of their last shows. new bitter end rules so much. ambitions was a lot of fun, picked up the 7" can't wait for the lp. energy was a lot of fun too, opened with the office theme song. cold world was ridiculous, in the bad way, its a sad day when kids don't know how to stage dive properly. rise and fall was solid.

withering_rose 08-19-2007 03:18 PM

sounds like a good show Reiner, I've always said, "If you don't wake up sore in the morning, it wasn't a good show."
sounds like a good show Reiner, I've always said, "If you don't wake up sore in the morning, it wasn't a good show."
Or you went to a show where people aren't kicking and elbowing each other.

cbmartinez 08-19-2007 03:44 PM

best movie

Let's Chop Cats! 08-19-2007 08:42 PM

movie does rule.

NewKindofArmy03 08-19-2007 10:06 PM

Today was definately the best day of This is Hardcore. Trash Talk, Let Down, Pulling Teeth, Ceremony, Paint it Black, and Blacklisted all killed it. Crime in Stereo was good but missing some key songs from their set. I was into Shipwreck too, I gotta listen to the 7'' I have again. Colin of Arabia started off kinda sloppy but picked it up half way through and the new song was pretty good.

Just listened to the new Let Down 7'', it rules.

cbmartinez 08-19-2007 10:36 PM

ah blacklisted and ceremony, I'd kill for that

cbmartinez 08-19-2007 10:36 PM

for pat

GoldTeef 555: afterwards
GoldTeef 555: after rage
GoldTeef 555: everyone took over the streets and started marching
GoldTeef 555: and were all like
GoldTeef 555: **** you wont do what you tell me
GoldTeef 555: and our streets!
GoldTeef 555: it was hella crazy
GoldTeef 555: and we were walking the other way
GoldTeef 555: and this guy was like
GoldTeef 555: what are you doing?
GoldTeef 555: turn the other way
GoldTeef 555: join us
