Every aspect of it, it pretty much sits inbetween Unhallowed and Miasma. Theyve definitely matured though, trevors voice is a lot better amongst other things.

Quite a lot of black metal influence in it too.
You want a link to the download?

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 04:23 PM

Nah, I'll save for tommorrow, but thanks mang :thumb:

Anyone want a sweet Morbid demo? First come, first get link.

Slapping Penguin 09-17-2007 04:24 PM
You should be.

And who the hell is Alabama Thunderslightly confuzzled sea lion? That sure doesn't sound like a death metal band. THey're opening for Obituary.
Oi, Butcher, my mate who loves Stoner Rock/Southern Metal etc digs them. I heard them the other day. For an opening act man they will be a lot of fun, plus they have Kyle Thomas on vocals from Exhorder fame which is just friggin awesome. Plus they have a new album which they will most likely play and this is fun stuff.

pate 09-17-2007 04:24 PM

Whooo. I think I finished first. Now give me link.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 04:25 PM

Pate wins :)

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:26 PM

Actually I do.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 04:30 PM

Pate check rep.

pate 09-17-2007 04:32 PM

Thanks

publicastration 09-17-2007 04:33 PM

I just said ive got it.
Out of curiosity, is anyone interested in the new BDM tommorrow?
If "I Worship Only What You Bleed" is an indicator of how good the rest of the album is (what a horrible night to have a curse is an awful song though), I'll definitely be getting it.

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:35 PM
I just said ive got it.
Oh well still, for everybody else.

The album is so good, Trevor's highs are absurd (in a good way) now.

masscows 09-17-2007 04:36 PM

yeah I noticed a big improvement on his voice in the songs they posted. Much more sinister.

pate 09-17-2007 04:37 PM

You mean he doesn't sound like a bundle of sticks anymore?

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:38 PM

He was always really good, stfu sir.

pate 09-17-2007 04:39 PM

If by good you mean fat and shitty.

publicastration 09-17-2007 04:40 PM

What band is this?

NemesisDivina 09-17-2007 04:41 PM

Black Dahlia Murder...

not a fan.

masscows 09-17-2007 04:41 PM
He was always really good, stfu sir.
I dont think his voice was that great on their previous stuff. It's always been unique, but now it's refined to the point of being good instead of just kinda "hey, at least he's doing something different".
I'm from Oslo, the Capitol. The rest of the band are mainly from Elverum, 170 km north of Oslo.

And thanks a lot for the feedback guys! Much appreciated.
I lived in Oslo for about 2 years :)

publicastration 09-17-2007 04:43 PM

I suppose I'll check it, haven't heard any BDM.

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:44 PM

IDK, I've always thought Trevor Strnad was a great vocalist.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 04:44 PM

Try Unhallowed. It's pretty good.

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:45 PM

Try Unhallowed, Miasma, and Nocturnal, they're all pretty good.

Shattered_Future 09-17-2007 04:54 PM

OMGZ BDM DISCUSSION IN THE DEATH METTLE THREAD! UNTR000!

In all seriousness, though, I never liked that band. Always found them incredibly boring.

i am the robots 09-17-2007 04:58 PM

The first two albums do get undeniably boring after a few listens, but I normally come back to them and listen on sprees and greatly enjoy them... I just can't listen too much, Nocturnal seems a lot better though.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:16 PM

Oops!

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:19 PM

Death metal? Along what lines?

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:24 PM

Tbh, The Dillinger Escape Plan and Pelican.
Don't care. What's the best thing you can think of right now? What's the band that's had your dick hard for like, 3 weeks straight?
Battle Of Mice - A Day Of Nights

For months actually.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:25 PM

I would talk to a doctor about that if I were you, man.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:30 PM

Did you hear what I said?

publicastration 09-17-2007 05:31 PM
listening to Battle of Mce right now... not really diggin' the vox and there certainly isn't enough energy for me... what else?
Energy? That album is positively dripping with tension and energy.

Energy doesn't equal aggressiveness.

NemesisDivina 09-17-2007 05:33 PM

Sleep and Dream is my favorite song. UH-MAYZ-ING

publicastration 09-17-2007 05:39 PM
ok, aggression. whatever.

something with some major riffage, quality vocals and lots of dimension between tracks. I certainly don't want anything that's like the same song repeated 10 times over.
Alright. Cryptopsy - None So Vile then.

Though you may not like the vocals, some people don't.

And quality is obviously subjective.
Sleep and Dream is my favorite song. UH-MAYZ-ING
Probably mine too, although Bones In The Water is crazy good.

LifeInABox 09-17-2007 05:42 PM
Talkin' about the band Sleep, or is that the name of a song?
A name of a song by BoM.

pate 09-17-2007 07:19 PM
The first two albums do get undeniably boring after a few listens, but I normally come back to them and listen on brees and greatly enjoy them...
I knew it.

i am the robots 09-17-2007 07:21 PM

Epic edit is epic.

NemesisDivina 09-17-2007 07:35 PM
A name of a song by BotM.
where'd you get the t from?

anyways...

Sleep and Dream and At The Base of the Giant's Throat are my favorite.
