Yeah I'm full of shit. I just wanted to see how many people would believe me.

poo-poo-pee-pee 01-26-2006 07:53 PM

Yeah, that was pretty obvious...
I still prefer to beleive it 'cause you said the album was good, lol.
Speaking of obvious, I'm listening to it right now. Good song...

DJ Ducksauce 01-26-2006 07:57 PM
I dunno, other people do it. So I thought I'd do it to fit in.
I have trouble fitting in... lol.
oic

that was only for YSI links because the site was tracing the links and canceling them.

/way late

dancetomdance182 01-26-2006 08:44 PM

I would've only believed him if he ripped some songs for us.

plaidbassbilly 01-26-2006 09:11 PM

First I was like "Isn't he from New Zealand...?"

Then I realised he couldn't even possibly know Tom.

Fire Away 01-26-2006 09:13 PM
I was in Los Angeles for a few days last week, and being old friends with Tom I called him up and asked if we could have a coffee or something, he was actually in the studio at the time so I went in for a visit. We chatted for a while about things and he asked me what my thoughts were on the whole Angels and Airwaves thing. I told him that I was just very anxious to hear the album. So he went into one of offices and grabbed me a copy. I was stoked. I didn't listen to it 'till I got back to New Zealand because I was so nervous to finally hear it. Let me just say, it is amazing. Every song on the album is amazing and you guys will love it.
I knew you were lying when you told me I would love it.

plaidbassbilly 01-26-2006 09:37 PM

Haha.

I was listening to Go today, well actually, the whole s/t album, and I've decided it's my favourite Blink album.

DJ Ducksauce 01-26-2006 09:42 PM

I love all of their albums.

S/T was what got me into them though.

I was a late starter. I had heard ATST and WMAA on the radio, but after buying S/T, I eventually got the rest of them

plaidbassbilly 01-26-2006 09:45 PM

Yeah that's the same with me. S/t got me really into them.

10571z 01-27-2006 02:45 AM

i was in jb the other day and i picked up s/t and showed my mate and im like this is a master piece and some random comes along and goes that albums sucks seriously its there worst by far.... and then i picked up dude ranch and his like thats the shizz.... and yeh

jazzbandball 01-27-2006 03:29 AM

nah s/t is great. i love that one. never get sick of it. it got me into them too.

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 03:31 AM

Lucy, nice to see you here!

I can never decide on a favourite track from that album. There are so many standouts for me.

jazzbandball 01-27-2006 04:39 AM

hiii bianca! haha wave... anyway
i heard feeling this first and i fell in love with that sound at the start. then i got the album and fell in love with obvious.

i remember i got all the small things on a hit machine cd. it was rad.

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 05:43 AM

I remember the good ol' days of watching All The Small Things on Video Hits and laughing at the giant banana. Good times.

10571z 01-27-2006 06:51 AM

when i first got s/t i was dissapointed i thought obvious had a awsome intro then the verse sucked and just all things like that but i grew to love it

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 06:59 AM

Yeah I didn't rate it very highly to begin with. I actually used to like Dude Ranch much more.

B 01-27-2006 07:04 AM

I still do like Dude Ranch much more :-\

Lemmings ftw!

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 07:11 AM

Yay 900 posts for me!

I like the song Emo off Dude Ranch.

Dude if you keep this up these people will rip you to shreds, trust me. The people in here know way to much about blink and their side projects to come in here and try to pull off something like this.

Agent_Orange 01-27-2006 10:00 AM
when i first got s/t i was dissapointed i thought obvious had a awsome intro then the verse sucked and just all things like that but i grew to love it
I loved it at first and now its one of my least played blink albums.

yourstruly 01-27-2006 06:31 PM

At first I didn't like the songs on the self titled. Because Blink 182 sorta just changed from like a fun pop punk band to slightly more emo poppunk. But it eventually grew on me.

10571z 01-27-2006 08:01 PM
I loved it at first and now its one of my least played blink albums.
really wow... Personally i rarely listen to blink anymore sometimes i chuck on album..
Yay 900 posts for me!

It funny cause they named that song after the genre they thought it was but really its not very "Emo" compared to todays standards..

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 08:07 PM

I was wondering if that was why they called it that. But it doesn't sound "emo" at all, really.

HitHardDrums55 01-27-2006 09:03 PM

read the lyrics...the music just isnt as whiney sounding..but the lyrics are pretty emo

FauxApathy 01-27-2006 11:39 PM
I loved it at first and now its one of my least played blink albums.
It's the only blink album I can still listen to without Puking. I absolutely love it. If I want jokes I'll go to someone who's good at them. I like there serious stuff better.

Well, that's bound to piss off someone. I guess I'll switch to one of the other accounts for a while.

plaidbassbilly 01-27-2006 11:55 PM

I recently received this from Angels And Airwaves on Myspace:

"hey whats up everyone, i know you all are "patienly" awaiting some music. the website and more web movies will be launched in the coming weeks so stay tuned. just wanted to send you all a message letting you all know what is going on in angels & airwaves' world. our rehersal space is built and we are beginning to reherse. we'll have some photos for you shortly. right now im off to New York and the other guys are at home relaxing before angels & airwaves takes over their lives, as if it hasnt already. while im in new york, ill be hosting a few episodes of steven's untiled rock show on FUSE with some macbeth sponsored bands: taking back sunday, my chemical romance, and eisley. ive been told the air dates for those will be the week of feb 6th, we'll be sure to let you know when, once we get more info. thats all for now. thanks to everyone who is spreading the word about angels & airwaves, it means a lot.
talk to you all later
tom"

10571z 01-28-2006 01:43 AM

yeh same... dont they understand we dont want movies and shti we want music

bassist_for_a_band 01-28-2006 03:12 AM

dude i downloaded dammit live at big day out... its so amazing, i cant stop watchin it

Ross 01-28-2006 05:26 AM

Dude ranch is the secks.

While I like s/t, it does depress me a lot. It soundtracked the end of a relationship for me, which kinda ruins it cuz I just feel **** listenin to it now. So instead I shove on enema. That whole album is uber happeh.

Fire Away 01-28-2006 06:10 AM

I have to be in the mood for S/T. And then I throw on something old to kinda even the feeling out.

Get Fighted 01-28-2006 12:11 PM

S/T has really grown on me, i think it is better than Dude Ranch no matter how sick dude ranch is. S/T is IMO thier best album.

16 Nipples 01-28-2006 05:35 PM

I much prefer the old Blink, I consider Blink's S/T as a different band altogether. It is good, but if I want completely serious music I know other bands that are probably better at it, whereas before Blink were the best in the world at what they did. No-one in the Pop/Punk genre came close IMO.

DJ Ducksauce 01-28-2006 05:38 PM

^^Your username made me lawl.

It also made me think of that song 13 Miles. Classic.

"13 Miles down the road lives a young boy..."

plaidbassbilly 01-28-2006 08:01 PM
dude i downloaded dammit live at big day out... its so amazing, i cant stop watchin it
I love that performance! It's the one where they throw in the "No Scrubs" verse yeah?

dancetomdance182 01-28-2006 09:21 PM
dude i downloaded dammit live at big day out... its so amazing, i cant stop watchin it
That show is amazing. I want all the videos from that show, but it's sort of hard to find.

yourstruly 01-28-2006 09:23 PM
I love that performance! It's the one where they throw in the "No Scrubs" verse yeah?
yeah that's the one. I've got pretty much there entire BDO show. It's cool.

DJ Ducksauce 01-28-2006 09:46 PM

Is BDO the performance in Australia. If so, I've seen a few of those, and they kick ass.

plaidbassbilly 01-28-2006 10:24 PM

It's a pretty old show now, 2000 I think. My parents went that year, it would've been awesome.

yourstruly 01-29-2006 02:05 AM

Being in that crowd would of been mental. It was massive!.

10571z 01-29-2006 04:58 AM
