We decided to start a blu-emocore band. The original name was "Foxfire and the Foxtones" but it eventually ended up being "FoxKwash, the Epifreaks, and the Tele-funkist".

I'm playing double bass, Kwash2 has got banjo, e p has multi-octaved jugs, Freakofnature has washboard, and ESP is the tele-funkist who plays violin (he says he's too classy for fiddle).

That would be John Taylor of Duran Duran (and his Aria Pro, might I point out). I'm such a fangrrrrrllll.... SQUEEEEE! Just saw a vid of their new song and he's playing a vintage 70's Gretsch in it... and on their recent performance on Top of the Pops he had his Cirrus 5 string (which rarely sees the light of day, the Aria seems to be his current favorite).

My dad, brother, and I are going sailing with one of my dad's coworkers.

But I still need to pick up straplocks and a strap, grrr.

i havent seen the practical application of straplocks to date . i have yet to have my bass fall off of my strap , and then my friend who has straplocks has thrown his bass a few times and ive seen it fly away at least 2x

I'm waiting for the last 15 minutes of my shift to end so I can get the h*** outta here and spend some time in the sunshine... And not have to deal with stoopid people. I've had my fill today.

I would, except its a hospital, and I don't want to make anyone upset- like being in the hospital isn't bad enough. Particularly THIS hospital- small town backwater of humanity type of thing going on here. ;)

What I don't get is I answer the phone: "IS, this is Shelly," and they go "Is so-and-so there?"

Me (confused): I don't know anyone by that name.

Me (annoyed): No, this is the IS department. (thinking on the inside DID YOU NOT HEAR ME ANSWER THE FREAKING PHONE???? If it was the Grace Unit, I would've SAID so!!!!! ARGH!!! *tears hair out*)

Left Shoe: The reason I'm doing strap locks...this is a heavier bass than most (12-14 pounds?). I've had my Curbow (really light bass. REALLY light.) fall off my strap, so I'm doing it as a precaution. Plus I need a 3" strap anyways (my twisted 1" one won't cut it :p).

oo didnt realize you were in a hospital sorry shel. i woudlnt call my warwick light , but the strap hooks that come on warwicks are generally bigger than usual , so ive never had a problem.

bleh i hate traidiotion it seems every year at about this time (close to the beginning of the school year) i get sick

Apparently it's my responsibility to help my brother with his homework. This confuses me, as earlier today, he tried to gouge my eyes out. Because I refuse to help this child, my dad has decided that I'm a useless idiot who does nothing around the house.
