They're not really sloppy, it's just their tone is kinda muddy and on the whole they aren't that energetic.
They're not really sloppy, it's just their tone is kinda muddy and on the whole they aren't that energetic.[

That doesn't really bother me when bands aren't jumping around and all that.

cbmartinez 02-04-2006 08:30 PM

Same.

Jawaharal 02-04-2006 09:05 PM

Anybody have any life detecting coffins songs? I only have a split they did with off minor, but I like their song alot.

I've got a cd. AIM me at Pixiesfanyo.

I would equate it to the Mesa he uses.

I wouldn't say not energetic, but more along the lines of awkward.

Brain Toad 02-04-2006 10:39 PM

So...

I'm making my first post here. I finally understand emo and screamo. And I love them both, especially the screamo I've been listening to.

whiteminority 02-04-2006 10:41 PM

What you been listening to?

Brain Toad 02-04-2006 10:44 PM
What you been listening to?
Saetia was first.
Then Orchid, Hot Cross, City of Caterpillar, and Pg. 99
Today it was Circle Takes the Square and Funeral Diner
Then I reached my understanding of the reasons for the screaming and just the pure passion of it all.

Emo wise I was just wandering around the scenes between Embrace and Rites of Spring to Cap'n Jazz and the like.

whiteminority 02-04-2006 10:49 PM

Word. Circle Takes the Square and Orchid were my first two emo bands, Non-Objective Portrait of Karma and Epilogue of a Car Crash by each respectively.

AIRIC 02-04-2006 10:55 PM

I've gotten into it a lot lately too. I've listened to As the Roots Undo probably 10 times in the last week.

I've got:
Pg99, Orchid, Funeral Diner, Capn Jazz, CTTS, Hot Cross, Antioch Arrow, Indian Summer, Heroin, Rites of Spring, City of Caterpillar, Neil Perry.

If someone could AIM me at Skrunnch and send me some other stuff it would be great, or at least recommend some stuff that you know I can find on Soulseek.

Luxor 02-04-2006 11:11 PM

I really just don't get Orchid. I have "Chaos Is Me", is their a better album that I'm missing out on or something?

AIRIC 02-04-2006 11:12 PM

Orchid aren't really my favorite either. They seem a bit to spazzy chaotic for me. I have Dance Tongith! Revolution Tommorow!

deadohiosky9 02-04-2006 11:27 PM

chaos is me, and dance tonight revolution tomorrow are their top releases in my opinion. if chaos is me doesn't do it for you, then they just aren't your type of band. probably the only chaotic/spazzy band i like.

whiteminority 02-04-2006 11:31 PM
I really just don't get Orchid. I have "Chaos Is Me", is their a better album that I'm missing out on or something?
Check out Gatefold. They aren't as chaotic but it is sooo good. It is their last release before they broke up.

Jawaharal 02-05-2006 12:44 PM
I've got a cd. AIM me at Pixiesfanyo.
deadohiosky9 02-05-2006 02:39 PM

cbmartinez 02-05-2006 02:45 PM

whiteminority 02-05-2006 02:51 PM
puppy bowl > super bowl. this s.hit owns.
What the hell are they doing?

deadohiosky9 02-05-2006 04:06 PM

they are just like on a fake football field, doing nothing.

AIRIC 02-05-2006 04:09 PM

whiteminority 02-05-2006 04:11 PM

srt-4 02-05-2006 10:22 PM

Even though Hot Snakes aren't exactly hardcore, I think we should still talk about their awesomeness. I've chosen a couple of their songs for my radio show. I've been diggin them alot today.

weerez1391 02-06-2006 07:46 PM

Does anyone in here like The Electrician?

Brain Toad 02-06-2006 08:05 PM

Man, I'm really into screamo now, it's kind of scary.

I love The Kodan Armada
And I finally understand the greatness that is As the Roots Undo

cbmartinez 02-06-2006 08:12 PM

<3 The Kodan Armada

Wish I could have been at their reunion.

RouteOne 02-06-2006 08:12 PM

What is some really "dark" screamo?

cbmartinez 02-06-2006 08:17 PM

Love Lost But Not Forgotten
In/Humanity's later stuff
