Oh, ok, thanks!
it's not their current logo however
i wish merch lackey weren't such incompetent pieces of shit so i can actually get my stuff that i paid for months ago
you order through protestthemerch or maple? their merch store has always been awful.
whatever site they wanted people to preorder through. i think it was protestthemerch.
ah yea you're in the US so you wouldn't have gone through Maple. I imagine it shipped yesterday regardless so I'd give it another day
my shipping status says "not shipped" so i'm inclined to believe otherwise :|

stupid jerks at vimeo won't let me steal it |
tamer than i expected from your interview but i like it. Maybe they should perform more sitting down.
needs more ballerinas
album has grown on me, I love Tapestry and all but why did they copy and paste that part from bloodmeat? lol
To be ironic, probably. Rody said the song is about the fear of stagnancy.
I have a feeling that Tongue-Splitter might have a line or two about the "Poochy the sand sand n****r" incident.

i always thought that part sounded really familiar haha my album and poster finally came today, but for some reason they couldn't ship me a shirt (despite placing my pre-order the day it came out but whatever). my poster was #27 of 500, so that's pretty cool. |
Did they charge you for the shirt?
nah, they refunded me and they paid for my shipping. still don't think i'll be doing business with merch lackey, hopefully the band doesn't use them again
They've always had bad luck with stores. Killthe8 lost my order like three times in a row back when they ran it.
This new album is great! It might be my favorite by them, though Fortress is really close.
Favorite tracks on the new album: Tandem, Moonlight, Termites. |
Bought my tickets for the NYC show on May 3rd. Metal and I have fallen out of favor over the past 2 years, but I'm incredibly excited for this show.
Scurrilous opened at number 8 on the Canadian Albums Chart and at number 2 on the Metal Top 50!
Fortress opened at #1 if I recall correctly. Still cool though.
Yeah, it was number one I remember 'cause they were stating how they got drunk, like they always do. Great that they broke the top ten, wonder who was #1.
I'm actually quite liking the fact that Rody's written the lyrics, they're cheeky and catchy plus live he sounds way more comfortable, I think. |
I think there's more to them than people are realizing. I mean, yeah, there's a line about taking a huge dump at a truck stop, but it's in a song about Propagandhi. Two-fold, it is.
Yeah, I know I just sing the lyrics without really looking into them too much.
But I think I'm finally starting to enjoy "Dunsel" and "TRoUT" somewhat at least, hearing it live kind of helps. Have you caught them on this recent tour Tyler? (assuming you have 'cause it's you haha) |
Saw them yesterday in Abbotsford. Both TesseracT and PTH were a treat but the venue was absolutely shitty. I hope one day to catch Protest in a 19+ venue

No, not unless you count the show I saw a few weeks ago, which I would. Nothing like seeing them in front of 150 people, it brought back memories, man. I doubt I'll go out on this tour unless I can get myself in for free. I hate the Toronto venue they're playing. A lot. And I try to avoid all ages shows whenever possible. |
Haha fuckin' tell me about it. The show they played here last week had so many teens and drunk people it was fucking ridiculous. So many people were just stumbling around it was actually kind of funny/sad. It's pretty crazy though how much their fan base has grown over the past few years - granted the shows I've been to weren't anything like what you have seen but it was nice to go to a show where they weren't all that known, you know? Oh how the times have changed.
I mean they've always been pretty well known in Toronto, even when the EP came out they were one of the top buzz bands in the city, it's just they played a lot and the venues were smaller. Now they don't play as much (well, they tour more, just a wider scope) and the venues are huge and out of the way.
tab books are taking too long to get here. Wish I had seen the 'up to 6 weeks' part when i ordered :(
I don't think they were actually ready until recently. Had to be finished and printed, I reckon.
