Pfft, I have it on CD, DVD, Vinyl and a limited edition case containing 6 original cells from the movie, plus 6 miniature posters of movie artwork.
Damn I can't beat that.

I've been upstaged :upset:

Show-off.

TojesDolan 06-06-2007 01:54 AM

Now that's what I call owning!

AnyColour74 06-06-2007 06:59 AM

so the live wall cd is pretty sweet

last_few_bricks 06-06-2007 07:12 AM

oh yes, I like it a lot better than just listening to the wall, but that's just me, but yeah all of the solos are extended, and a there's some new stuff in it, but it's a little expensive being almost $30

Leper 06-06-2007 04:51 PM

Is it all of Pink Floyd or just Roger or perhaps Pink Floyd minus Roger?

MattSharpIsCool 06-06-2007 05:44 PM

I can't picture post-Waters Floyd playing The Wall all the way through.

I'm pretty sure it's the full lineup, but I could be wrong.

Leper 06-06-2007 09:34 PM

Yeah I guess that was kind of a dumb question.

Edit: Good to see you got rid of that god-awful avatar Matt.:p

Riva 06-06-2007 09:36 PM

It's the full line-up, if he's talking about Is There Anybody Out There? The Wall Live. Got great interviews in the booklet too. Rick talks about how controlling Roger is and Dave talks about how controlling Roger is.

Danger Bird 06-06-2007 10:41 PM

I don't own the wall, I have everything up to DSotM except Relics on CD, and Piper in Mono on vinyl.

rippa32 06-06-2007 10:44 PM

Woah, thats a pretty rare record.

Danger Bird 06-06-2007 10:52 PM

It's a reissue, I'm sure. It came shrinkwrapped.

MattSharpIsCool 06-07-2007 12:50 AM
Yeah I guess that was kind of a dumb question.

Haha, now I just need this one to be a little bigger.

MrConeman 06-07-2007 05:47 AM

Wow, sweet.
Neighbours are awesome, my mums friend across the street just randomly decided to give me all her old vinyl records. Dark Side of The Moon (with the poster included and everything) and Wish You Were Here were among a few other good ones.
Score.

rippa32 06-07-2007 06:29 AM
It's a reissue, I'm sure. It came shrinkwrapped.
Oh ok, seems funny it's Mono then.

Danger Bird 06-07-2007 08:43 AM

Hey, with mono I don't have to listen to that stupid balance-shifting effect in Interstellar Overdrive.

Leper 06-07-2007 04:33 PM

I'd rather just skip over Interstellar Overdrive.

Riva 06-07-2007 05:15 PM

You guys are odd. I live for Interstellar Overdrive, and especially the end of it.

Leper 06-07-2007 05:20 PM

I find it very boring, irritating, and ultimately unlistenable. But I love The End by the Doors and have heard many people describe it the same way so I dunno.

BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please- 06-07-2007 05:56 PM
You guys are odd. I live for Interstellar Overdrive, and especially the end of it.
Yea, "Interstellar Overdrive" is great, I love the ending especially too. There's nothing quite like walking down a dark empty road at 2 AM listening to it.

MattSharpIsCool 06-07-2007 06:51 PM

That's one of the best songs on Piper.

And I love that part where it alternates speakers.

Riva 06-07-2007 06:54 PM

Heh, I guess it is one of those songs. All I know is when I listen to The End, I generally can't wait for the end.

Danger Bird 06-07-2007 09:07 PM

I love the song, but the shifting effect sounds like a two year old playing with my stereo.

Plus live versions are so much better.

morrison357 06-07-2007 10:59 PM
Plus live versions are so much better
Yeah, I agree. I have an copy of a early Floyd concert, forget the date, but the "Interstellar Overdrive" is outstanding. It's the highlight of the concert.
I love the song, but the shifting effect sounds like a two year old playing with my stereo.

That's something I can agree with.

Riva 06-07-2007 11:28 PM

Long songs by Pink Floyd have always been superb live. I think it's when they let the jam band aspect of their music just flow.

Leper 06-13-2007 12:50 PM
Heh, I guess it is one of those songs. All I know is when I listen to The End, I generally can't wait for the end.
Haha fair enough. I'm not sure what it is about Interstellar Overdrive. Usually longer instrumentals entrance me when I listen to them but I guess my mind just doesn't connect with that one for whatever reason. Maybe I'll listen to it one day and suddenly "get" it.

Jude 06-13-2007 01:47 PM

Interstellar Overdrive is maybe 4-5 minutes longer than it should be, but the good parts are sweet.

Riva 06-13-2007 05:13 PM

Well, long stretches of not much are trademarks of Pink Floyd songs. Just look at Echoes for example. :p
