Oh, busting out the edit Walrus? Scared they will see it?

Any one seen I Walk The Line? I'm watching the Making of, it on HBO he sounds fairly accurate.
Comepletely. I don't want to get an Internet Safety as well as a Drug Abuse speech :D

I can't wait to see Walk the Line

I am also proud to say that I listened to him before MTV brought him to the attention of our generation in 2003
HELL YEAH! :D

Which albums?
I actually don't own any ELO albums, do you think you'd be kind enough to upload some?

I voted Gillian in the vocalist comp, I'm pretty sure a lot of CR regulars did.

I voted for him because he owns. The final lines in Space Truckin' where his voice is un-Godly high are great.
/elo uploads
I'll try to get Out of the Blue up tonight.

Edit: Out of the Blue is considered to be ELO's masterpiece, ftr.\

And it's got Mr. Blue Sky

Okay I'm archiving it right now, it'll be up in about... 5 hours, due to my slow internet connection.

PinkFreud 11-19-2005 09:51 PM

gillAN. GILLAN. no second i. i voted for anselmo because he was doing poorly and i like his voice. plus, gillan will get through anyway.

Jacaranda 11-19-2005 10:52 PM

I don't even remember who I voted for, I don't like any one in this poll.
Oh, I voted Scott Weiland who is a decent singer I suppose.

blue3 11-19-2005 11:02 PM

I wanted to vote for Scott Weiland. I voted for Sebastian Bach though

Jacaranda 11-19-2005 11:04 PM

Ew, Skid Row...

Haha, but even the GnR guys think Scotts better, they did choose Scott over Sebastian. I lied I like Skid Row though.

PinkFreud 11-19-2005 11:05 PM

bach's got a good voice. he was also in jesus christ superstar.

im contemplating starting my own mailing list. i dont know if i actually will though.

blue3 11-19-2005 11:05 PM

Who's these 'GnR guys'? I like Skid Row more than STP.

Jacaranda 11-19-2005 11:06 PM

Oh for Velvet Revolver, GnR minus Mr. Rose.

blue3 11-19-2005 11:08 PM

Right.. yeah. Well VR would be really different if it was Sebastian Bach singing.
Rockin' the Harrison avatars, robo.
Uh, don't forget the original Harrison avatar :p

But you guys can be in the club.

How does everyone like All Things Must Pass?

Jacaranda 11-19-2005 11:19 PM

Did you send out the extended version?
I have it and I really dislike the extended versions of "What Is Life" and "My Sweet Lord" I can't remember why because I skip them, and I would listen to them so I could say why I hate them, but Sir David Bowie is getting all my attention for right now.

But great album, I'll have to re-listen to it. (I'm so negative towards the Beatles now :S)

blue3 11-19-2005 11:24 PM

It's a great. I'm listening to 'Apple Scruffs' right now.

Yea I sent out the extended one. I don't really like "My Sweet Lord 2000" either. That's the only one I usually skip over. And I don't mind the second "What Is Life", but I usually skip that too. It's not a bad song, but I've already heard it once.

Nice, ELO I'll have to download this when I go to bed I don't have any CD's of theirs only some old records.

thickasabrick 11-20-2005 02:19 AM

I was playing hackey sack with the guys at the local vinyl/headshop, and they had a Jeff Beck album playing. I don't remember which one it was, but I really liked it. It was pretty trippy, a lot trippier than all the other (two) albums I've heard of his. I wish I knew which one it was, because I really liked it.

You wouldn't belive this, they banned hackey sack at my school

I've been playing more often in spite of the ban because most of the teachers don't seem to care as long as I'm playing, the nerd is with them, it can't be all that bad

Magicbus: I should be albe to do the bass part for Something next week because my sister ordered a new computer with garage band and some incredibly fancy microphone, so I might as well wait until it comes.
I tried to do it this weekend, but the mic is so crappy It' can't record anything besides crackly static. Serves me right for stealing it out of the AV room

Wow.....just....wow. GREATEST CONCERT EVER SERIOUSLY!!! He played all of his old hits and more, the light show was fantastic, my seats were great considering I only payed 85$ for them, a crew from NASA came out right after "Good Day Sunshine", I got a really cool shirt that cost half of my ticket, "Jenny Wren" and "English Tea" were really cool new songs, I was the youngest person in a 50 foot radius and I feel really sorry for you people who didn't buy tickets to see him. You're missing one hell of a show! :p

Highlights:

Magical Mystery Tour
Blackbird
Band on the Run
Helter Skelter
English Tea
Hey Jude
The End
For No One
Live and Let Die
Let It Be
Jenny Wren
Sgt. Peppers...(reprise)
Good Day Sunshine
Elenor Rigby
And more....

I'm giving All Things Must Pass it's first listen now so I have no opinion as of yet.

Acctually Woodstock had that avatar long before you had your Harrison one. He had that last year I believe.

I remembered that because we were talking about who looked more like Jesus.

jpj 11-20-2005 10:55 AM

Guitrguy had a Harrison avatar that looked like Jesus a really long time ago.

That's so cool that the NASA folks came out for that show, they had clips from space when I saw him in boston, but that's just awesome beyond words
What shirt did you get? I got one that was red with a blue guitar neck and what and such

Didn't Guitrguy get Hurricaned?

Yes, I did.

That sounded like one hell of a concert, Schyma. I'd really love to go to one. His backing band is awesome.
