i respect his honesty, but for him to transfer his sentiment and a means to judge other acts ('chumps') who relish the opportunity simply as a chance to play music and nothing more seems a bit rash

I think he meant chumps as in people who were as equally suckered in as he was. I know people in both camps--one's there on someone else's dime and bands spending a fortune to play it--and his vitriol makes sense.

Mostly I just really like Screeching Weasel and I'm glad to see how candid he is. I don't think it's about making money so much as playing for next to nothing.

Yeah it's good not to get in the habit of smoking too often, I enjoy it a lot but I would hate to be one of those people who has to be high to enjoy everything you know.

I was really happy drunk last night though so it was fine that I had to crash on a couch, gonna be that drunk again tonight probably, last real party in America til I leave.
