I prefer all Skynyrd, but that's just me.

Lord Abortion 12-30-2005 07:02 PM

After hearing the Metallica version of that, I firmly believe that Hetfield should become a country singer.
His voice is suited to it well.

NP-Rush-passage to Bangkok

...haven't we already discussed that before? In the last thread?
The Hetfield-country thing?

My dad's a huge fan. But I like just a handful. I'm glad to see someone else who can spell their name properly as well.

Same. Except my dad's more of a fan than a huge fan. I like a few of their songs.

It was very busy at work today, and now I have a headache.

Shred Danson 12-30-2005 07:26 PM

Well, I just took one bitchin' shower. It's been a couple days, so long overdue :p

Lord Abortion 12-30-2005 07:40 PM

Yeah...the holidays have reduced the necessity for regular showering.

Shred Danson 12-30-2005 07:47 PM
Yeah...the holidays have reduced the necessity for regular showering.
Indeed. But I started to smell like ass I guess...plus I've been in a groggy mood and figured I could use one, heh...

NW: That 70's Show

Shattered_Future 12-30-2005 08:03 PM

I think That 70s Show is one of the best shows to watch at like 12:30 at night, when you just. don't. give a **** anymore.

I was playing the newest entry in the Ratchet And Clank videogame series...I'm suprised. The whole series manages to consistently be good with the same principle of each entry: run around and blow **** up.

Shadows 12-30-2005 08:04 PM

I just took a shower this morning, and it was the first time in about a week. I was starting to smell pretty bad, so I guess I don't mind.

Aw3someman 12-30-2005 08:22 PM

Are you trying to conserve water or something??

NP - Some Megadeth song (idk it's been over 5 hrs of just megadeth I still can't get enough of Rust in Peace damn.)

Riva 12-30-2005 08:41 PM

I shower at least once a day. I'm not fanatical about cleanliness, but I do sympathise with those who have to smell my foul stench.

At least it's summer now. Nothing worse than showering in winter.

Bazarov 12-30-2005 08:43 PM

I have to shower a lot, my hair gets greasy and dirty very fast. I actually didn't shower last night because I was really tired, my dad wakes me up saying we're going to Denny's for breakfast, and I have to deal with some clean-cut well dressed family glaring at me from another table. I hate it when you eat a restaurant, and a person(s) keep staring at you.

Shadows 12-30-2005 08:44 PM

I hate showering in winter, which may be why I've been doing it less lately.

Because it's winter now.

Bazarov 12-30-2005 08:45 PM

Seriously, that's why before I shower in the morning during winter I turn on the house heater. Otherwise, once I turn the water off, I'm enveloped with freezing cold air.

Riva 12-30-2005 08:46 PM

My hair gets greasy quickly also. I just leave it be. I wash it every few days as it is.

Shadows 12-30-2005 08:47 PM

I have to deal with freezing cold air every time. :( The heat in our house is really weak, and the warm air doesn't make it from the basement all the way up to the shower on the second floor. It blows.

Deth 12-30-2005 08:51 PM

My hair gets greasy quickly but I don't care.

Bazarov 12-30-2005 09:09 PM
My hair gets greasy quickly but I don't care.
Are you a short haird person?

Shred Danson 12-30-2005 09:14 PM

my hair gets kinda greasy too, I guess, but I don't really notice...

Deth 12-30-2005 09:15 PM
Are you a short haird person?
Yep. I'm going to grow it out though. Like Steven Seagal.

Shattered_Future 12-30-2005 09:16 PM

I shower once a day, usually...

My hair gets really messed up, washed or not...it sucks.

I managed to finally record guitar parts to a song I wrote in August. Damn I'm good. :)

PinkFreud 12-30-2005 09:21 PM

you guys are filthy. i shower every day. mostly. not in college. but at home i do!

La Revolucion 12-30-2005 09:42 PM

I shower at least once every day, cause I've got very long hair (for a guy) and it gets greasy fast. Greasy Hair=Bad

How long is very long?

TheDMV 12-30-2005 10:01 PM

I generally shower twice a day. I guess that's a lot. I've done 3 before too.

Illmatic 12-30-2005 10:03 PM
Very long is all of my hair one length (including bangs) down about to the bottom of my shoulder blades. Getting it cut tomorrow though. :(
I should get a hair cut, I haven't had one in slight over 2 years, but now I've got a crapload of split ends, so it looks kind of bad, but I guess I don't really care. My hairs probably 15 inches long.

La Revolucion 12-30-2005 10:18 PM

I hate hair cuts like a tree hugger hates shop class.

Jom 12-30-2005 10:21 PM
Oh yeah, we have one of those here. Kick arse place.
I was still full when I woke up this morning :erf:
/my therapy
It's no big thing. I haven't been in any accidents (knock on wood). It was just a brutal sports injury that I thought would get better with rest, but hasn't. Hence, physical therapy time.

To make matters less fun, my insurance didn't cover me for the therapy because it was such an old injury - only three visits until the New Year, and they're closed tomorrow.

However, my trainer was awesome and loaded me with exercises. I had to go buy a huge medicine ball (not the weight one, the big blow-up one). Pretty soon, I'll be back to where I was in terms of weights, and hopefully aerobics as well.

The exercises suck pretty hard, though, but at least they beat taking medicine all the time with the potential of getting a stomach ulcer down the line.
/New Year's plans
Last year, I went to bed at 10PM because I was too damn tired (and just didn't give a shit about the ball dropping to begin with). The same thing will likely happen this year, because I don't drink yet all my friends do, so they never call me unless they need a DD.
/showering
I shower everyday in the morning. If I work out, then I have to shower again because then I feel refreshed once again, and then I can fall asleep.

Question: have any of you played this board game called "Imagine If...?" It's pretty fun, some friends and I got together and we played a few rounds.

Basically, there are hundreds of card with scenarios on it. You roll a die to see who in the group you're going to be addressing. Here's an example card.

Imagine if ______ [scenario]. What would he/she be/do?
[Lists six options]

A clearer example:

So, the die is rolled, and it lands on ICB.

Imagine if Trevor accidentally ran over the neighbor's cat. What would he do with it?

1. Apologize to the neighbor.
2. Find another similar cat.
3. Bury the cat without telling anyone.
4. Have sex with the dead cat.
5. Keep on driving and leave it as roadkill.
6. Repeatedly back over the cat and run it over again numerous times.

(There were always one or two goofy options)

Each player, then, had six cards numbered 1-6, to match the options. When everyone chooses, they put their card face down. Then, in unison, the group flips over the card. Here's an example of the ICB card:

Doctor Night lays down a 3.
Shattered Future lays down a 1.
ICB lays down a 6.
Jom lays down a 3.
HeavyRiva lays down a 3.
ShadowsFallen lays down a 3.

It doesn't matter what ICB said, the majority rules, and they advance a space on the board.

Some of these cards were hysterical. It's also shocking how well we know each other (and how off we were sometimes).

So Lisa Lampanelli is on Comedy Central right now.

I love how she makes up for her lack of funniness with abrasiveness and vulgarity.

Is that for the secret stash? I also agree, she really isn't all too funny.

Illmatic 12-31-2005 12:19 AM

Yeah, it's secret stash.

Right before it (aka, non-secret stash), they had Chris Rock. Weird choice, some comics just weren't meant for censored TV.

Oh yeah, new CDs today
New

Mercyful Fate - 9
King Diamond - The Eye

Kurtz 12-31-2005 12:26 AM

Speaking of purchases, for anyone that has Pulp - Different Class, is it worth getting? I listened to Mis-shapes and Something Changed, those rule.

NP Muse - New Born
