TSOAF is up in the YSI thread

chips88 05-20-2005 04:16 PM

Where is all this Finch music coming from. Is the new album out already?

Kif 05-20-2005 04:17 PM
Where is all this Finch music coming from. Is the new album out already?
No, but plenty of demos and crap have been leaked

Want me to upload them to YSI?
Cool teachers are the best. The ones that you know you can talk to if something's going on and they're almost like a really good friend.
Yeah exactly :) He hardly ever gives us homework, either, and when he does he says "I know this time of year is difficult, with all the pre-party exams, but if you could do this it'd be brilliant". And whenever people with low confidence get questions right he knows what to say to them to make them feel like they should speak up more.
Let me get this straight. Her teacher let her take Monday's lesson (3 days away) off because she said her gran was dying?
No, not exactly. She basically said "I don't know if I'll be at the lesson on Monday, because my gran is quite ill. Kind of dying". Which meant, if her gran died on Monday, she might not make it into college. Which I can kind of understand, I mean I wouldn't have taken a day off but some people might be really close to their grans and be distraught.
My graphics teacher is awesome, me and he can sit there for most of the lesson talking about music, he recomends me bands, and we talk about shows, etc.
Yeah, haha, it's similar with this teacher. The other day I went up to him and said "I don't think I'll be at the lesson this afternoon, I'm going to London" and he said "Oh, what band are you seeing?"... I was like " Band? Oh no, I never said that... Ok so I'm going to see a band. Thanks for being so understanding". And he laughed, and said "What you think I never skipped a lesson to see a band before? But I went to see real bands". Then he started to talk about Hendrix and Cream and how Green Day were too corporate... What a guy.

cbmartinez 05-20-2005 04:18 PM

Kif, you're such a YSI whore.

Untitled 05-20-2005 04:18 PM

I think its leaked. I can remember being at finch and them saying "where gonna play *inster new song title here* off the new album", and a group of people cheered, and they was all "how they hell do you know it?"

Kif 05-20-2005 04:20 PM

Trust me, the new album hasn't leaked yet. A number of songs have been leaked though, and some may have been heard off bootlegs

And you are damn right I am a YSI whore, cb. It's like being a Myspace whore, but with the constant need for comments on my new pics. Or the annoying 20 videos on the same page. Or the stupid HTML people use to make it look pretty and take years to load.

I can understand a little, but I mean what's to say she doesn't die, and then the girl says "Oh she didn't die, but she might tomorrow. So I won't be here, OK?". It seems like a bit of a redundant excuse to me. But I guess that's just my opinion

Understanding In a Crash 05-20-2005 04:24 PM

SOAD is one of the band's that I'll remember and probably alot more of people will in 20 years from now.

That was quite random, considering we stopped talking about SOAD about a page ago

Sorry I was masturbating.

That would be great :D

Understanding In a Crash 05-20-2005 04:28 PM

I never really like any songs by Finch except that Worms of the Earth song. Nate seems to be the biggest ego ever and I don't know, they seem like blindside except NOT.

Dead Star 05-20-2005 04:28 PM

Sorry to annoy everyone and disrupt conversation. But:I bought a set of Ernie Ball Super Slinky strings today for my bass. I began stringing my bass, when the string sounded as if it snapped, but didn't, it sort of unwound itself. Is that meant to happen?

No-one answers you in the bass forum....

Ha ha, he sounds cool.

Me and him always laugh at all the idiots in our class, when they think they know punk and stuff. Its fun.

I dont think so, mine didnt unwind.

Kif 05-20-2005 04:29 PM

You know if I combined this account with my Kif account, I'd have the most posts in this thread...

Understanding In a Crash 05-20-2005 04:30 PM

The coil probably unwound at one end or another... If it sounds allright then it's allright, if not congrat's you'll have to either A) buy another pack of strings or replace that one string.

Dead Star 05-20-2005 04:31 PM

OMG, i love drunk people on AIM.

Understanding In a Crash 05-20-2005 04:32 PM

It could of been alot worst. The first time I ever re-strung my bass everything was "okay". I put the bass back up on the stand and I woke up the tuning head on the G was snapped OFF.

You were masturbating while eating pizza?
Did any man juice spill onto it?

Dead Star 05-20-2005 04:34 PM

The strings I had on before had the same unwound bit.

Kif 05-20-2005 04:34 PM

OK, while these demos are uploading, I'm gonna watch TV

Seeya, I'll post the link in the YSI thread

Like I said if it's in tune, staying in tune, and sounds okay then I guess we can all breathe :D .

Check the strings up to the neck to the bridge for any "knicks" or unspiraled coil.

Dead Star 05-20-2005 04:41 PM

/Breathing :D

Man, that shower felt soooooo good.

PDWAB 05-20-2005 04:47 PM

So I saw Star Wars yesterday. Possibly seeing it tonight, I've already got my ticket for tomorrow and Monday is looking good!

I saw it today, Lucus has redeamed himself.

jcxstargazer 05-20-2005 04:49 PM

Butler we should go again and get a poster

Untitled 05-20-2005 04:53 PM

I agree.

Foo fighters video, its good, but not one of there good old classic funny ones :(

chumpradio 05-20-2005 04:53 PM

The new Foo Fighters song is pretty good. The video may be bland, but the song is alright, although not as good as my high expectations. I really hope the rest of the album is better, otherwise it will be a disappointment. This is a good song, but I am just used to the Foo's releasing amazing albums and this isn't quite up to par.

Kif 05-20-2005 04:54 PM

I'm not feeling the new Foo Fighters song at all. The lyrics seem so forced and repetitive, and Dave's singing isn't so much singing, more him shouting the lyrics for most of the song.

Untitled 05-20-2005 04:54 PM

I want to see how there acoustic album of the split comes out, i think that will be interesting to hear.

Gnarmageddon 05-20-2005 05:07 PM

Quiznos Subs rock my socks off.

Captain Jack Sparrow 05-20-2005 05:26 PM

Mmm I just put a pot of coffee on.

Gnarmageddon 05-20-2005 05:38 PM

Everyone watch this. It's a Star Wars parody.

Meh. Sorry.

Kif 05-20-2005 05:40 PM

Is that the "Episode 3: A Lost Hope" one?
