Thursday is good, used to be better.

Atreyu, is catchy, but get's very repetitive boring. I have yet to hear the new album, which I don't want to.
Atreyu does get repetitive, still pretty good though.

shane italian 01-11-2005 09:28 PM

GODDDD THIS IS GETTING TO ME!

Blood In/Blood Out sound just like a certain band I like.

40 oz 2 freedom 01-11-2005 09:34 PM

Thursday probably my second favorite band of all-time, suckas.

I hate Atreyu though. I don't like the sound of someone vomiting.

shane italian 01-11-2005 09:37 PM

Hmm, I think I'm gonna say that Blood In/Blood Out sound like Walls Of Jericho with a bro singing.

Hardcore/ Post Hardcore/ Grind/ I donno

Good stuff, very talented. Not some generic band.

obese_breasts 01-11-2005 09:38 PM

Atreyu blow, never heard Thursday.

Vigrid 01-11-2005 10:58 PM

i read till page 6... skipped all the rest so if i missed a few things im sorry...
i regret the fact that im ignorant of the myriad of classifications of genres and such, so if i sound like a retard deal with it please.
what is east bay hard core? why do people care what kinda genre music is? how do you stick a lable on something that was created for other things? <----- i know this last comment seems kinda retarded but isnt it all in the proverbial eye of the beholder?

again sorry if i sound like a noob but i just listen to what i think is lyrically and/or musically well written or what causes me to think about things....

Let's Chop Cats! 01-11-2005 11:00 PM

It's not a genre.

Without genre's there would be confusion and you'd never be able to describe your band.

Make it up when there is a need for it.

A-Life-Less-Plagued 01-12-2005 12:38 AM

East Bay Hardcore is Hardcore from East Bay. You most likely just heard AFI calling themselves this.

CONNER_NWHC 01-12-2005 12:40 AM

Those stupid afi shirts that say that.

Brain Toad 01-12-2005 12:43 AM

Same here.

Gasp, this is my first time posting in this thread.

honkybrewster 01-12-2005 12:46 AM

Yeah, I can't stand Atreyu.

I just noticed Sk8Ska's edit to the first post in this thread. Very nice.

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 01:19 AM

I come home from a long day at work and school, kick my feet up and come to my favoritest thread in the whole wide world... and you faggots are talking about Atreyu.

CONNER_NWHC 01-12-2005 01:25 AM

I know i lost a little respect for reiner when he said he likes atreyu...

A-Life-Less-Plagued 01-12-2005 01:28 AM

And no one loses respect for ME! :(

SactoUnited 01-12-2005 01:40 AM

It's even more repetitive, so just, forget it exists...

They released a split with The Assistant. They rule.

I'm so psyched for Envy/Off Minor/Malady/Welcome To The Plague Year

cbmartinez 01-12-2005 12:24 PM

I think Nora are essentially a true metalcore band.

cbmartinez 01-12-2005 12:40 PM

Everyone check out this band I found, Me And Him Call It Us. There a grind/metal band on Stickfigure records and they went over pretty well in the Emo/Screamo Thread. Here's two mp3s:

"Innocent Bystanders Watched In Horror As Peter Jennings Drew His Murder Weapon"
http://stickfig.spinweb.net/stickfigurerecords/stickcdr010.mp3

"There Is No Question Mark Button On This Computer"
Hahahha, it's catchy never said it was good.
oh so true. I'm seeing them with Norma Jean and Unearth in February.

shane italian 01-12-2005 04:52 PM

Hahahaha, that is going to be one ****ty show.

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 04:55 PM

I was going to go to that show purely for NJ and old Unearth songs, but Rise Against / Tsunami Bomb / Alexisonfire / Only Crime is the same night.

Ey, anyone into Despair? It was Vogel's band before Buried Alive. I got their Pattern Life CD today and it's freaking great.

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 05:00 PM

They don't really sound like either. They're more... I want to say intelligent than those bands, less "RESPECT OR IMA BEAT YOU DOWN" *breakdown*. Vogel sounds different too, he sounds really young, but the CD has a lot of heart. Very good stuff.

I'll check it out sometime.

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 05:05 PM

I'll rip it when I'm on the good computer. I might be able to do it tomorrow.

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 05:33 PM

So... looks like I actually get two nights of Bane / Comeback Kid.

Allllllriiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. [/quagmire]

Let's Chop Cats! 01-12-2005 05:35 PM

Where are the dates posted?

BuddyBigsby 01-12-2005 05:46 PM

You going to the one in Philly? I'm still not sure if i'm going or not.

cbmartinez 01-12-2005 06:11 PM

Yeah, I've been bugging my mom so bad. You should definitely go. As I told my mom, "it's once in a lifetime." I tried explaining to her how emo bands usually don't last long and how this will most likely never happen again, but she doesn't get it. But I think she's going to let me go. Have you ever been to Sacred Grounds?
