I only want to go because The Stooges are going to play but if Rancid come that would be great. But I have no one to go with so I probally won't be going.

time bomb 12-10-2005 04:25 AM

the good thing about the big day out (for me) is that i i dont mind dance music, so if i get bored when crappy bands are on, i can just go to the boiler room and listen to dj's instead

TakeWarning 12-10-2005 04:26 AM

Seriously, if someone were to give me a free ticket I wouldn't take it, because I have better things to do for a few hours.

Unluckly, did you catch the idiot who stole your string?

time bomb 12-10-2005 04:30 AM

dude, thats wierd, i reckon theyre fun even when the crappy bands are playing. it might be different in perth, but the atmosphere and hanging out with your mates makes it well worth while....plus, i like dance music, lol
I'm glad that I finally found the version of "we'll meet again" done by Vera Lynn (you know, from the end of Dr. Strangelove). IT's been stuck in my head for weeks. Soulseek was acting weird and the searches were really sucking, but now it worked.

Unfortunately I now have the Robyn Hitchcock song stuck in my head that says "vera lynn... vera lynn!"
The Johnny Cash version > All other versions

123. I think the fact The Stooges are playing is worth the money just to see them.

Jessizzle 12-10-2005 08:27 AM
Unluckly, did you catch the idiot who stole your string?
Yeah, it was my guitarist actually. While he was trying to tune it.

Seriously how retarded do you have to be to snap a bass string after using it for 40 seconds? I've been using it two years and I never broke it.

I've joined a ska band aswell. I play bass, my friend plays trombone/tuba, and any other members are kind of "maybe" in the band right now.

My friend's parents used to see Iggy every week because the Stooges opened for everyone in Michigan back int hose days. They were a bunch of hippies though, so they hated it. His dad says he got spit on every time.

Liebensaft 12-10-2005 12:44 PM
The tickets I think are only 10 bucks, but with Ticketmaster fees, it came to 20.
Wow you'r ticket master fees are high. For me it goes up thre bucks.

Well I think the tickets are $10. Then there's a "$1 building charge". Then Ticketmaster adds a convenience charge and order processing charge. It's such bullshit. But whatever, it's gonna be great.

No way I'm taking my chances on this selling out. Plus it's at the Troc (Trocadero). It's a pretty small venue. That and I already ordered my ticket.

Is purevolume turning itself into a myspace-like thing?

I went to listen to one of my friends bands earlier, and it looked all different and said that they had 0 friends and 0 comments and there were buttons to add comments and such.

Mild_child 12-10-2005 03:56 PM
