congrats BB!!!!

Sunshine 09-12-2006 08:13 AM
Wicked. How'd/Why'd you do that?
It wasn't on purpose, really. I just keep underestimating AZ wet roads.

So theres this turn, right?

And it has a 15mph speed limit.

Well, thats ungodly slow.

So I took it a bit faster 'n I usually do [I think I was going ~25], which I ALWAYS do so it didn't seem to be a problem.

Until I came out of the turn, 'cause I over-steered and started sliding.

And then I over corrected.

And went up onto the curb, did a 180 and landed next to that bush. At which point I drove back off the curb, thinking my car somehow made it, and discovered I blew a tire and bent a hubcap.

Did get me free new tires, though, and somehow I'm not in trouble.

You really should learn how to drive better and take driving more seriously. One of these days one of those mistakes you make may cost you your life if you aren't more careful.

Indeed, I would heed these words carefully Sunshine.

From the pictures I would say you were doing faster then 25 as well...

Also see when it's wet out, tires don't useally leave skid marks. Wich makes me think that it wasn't wet there... and you were goin a lil faster.

Jezen 09-12-2006 12:52 PM

They do if you skid enough, it just takes a little longer to make marks when it's wet. At least I think so.

Just spent a solid hour working through Extreme Interdependance. I wanna practice longer but my bum is killing me. The Sage lost all their nice thrones and they have sh!tty ones now. I should probably bring my nice new throne from home.

Or worse, someone else's life too (possible plural).

green242 09-12-2006 12:55 PM

It's amazing how far you'll go when you wanna stop really fast. Even if going slow.

Jezen 09-12-2006 12:57 PM

It's just a result of conditioning. After someone has been driving for a while, they don't feel that a speed they used to think was fast, is that fast anymore.

Not until they really need to stop.

trysthedrummer 09-12-2006 12:57 PM

Yeah, which is why your speed is very important in different situations. Coming up to a roundabout, a junction, blah blah

Jezen 09-12-2006 12:58 PM

Trys you really do have one of the best avatars in the history of the universe.

trysthedrummer 09-12-2006 01:52 PM

haha, thanks for your kindmanship Jez.

maniac0796 09-12-2006 02:13 PM

I have 9 pages of coursework to do. For thursday! Fun fun fun. And now open office is dying

Janeway 09-12-2006 02:19 PM

I held a fart all fricken' day today.

Atleast 7 hours. I can't describe the feeling when I finally got to let it out.

Sunshine 09-12-2006 02:32 PM

Aww, don't worry guys.

I only drive like that when nobody's around but me.

If anybody dies, I'll be the only one to go.

Josiah 09-12-2006 02:38 PM
Yeah, which is why your speed is very important in different situations. Coming up to a roundabout, a junction, blah blah
That's true.

Finding a nice big parking lot and investing in a set of cones and tires is well worth it, the day where knowing your car and not knowing it makes the difference between life and death is a very real situation that can occur.

The difference between hitting a pole head on, and missing it is only 4 feet. 4 feet in a moving car occurs in less then 1/10th a second.

For my 18th birthday [December 19, 2007], my parents are sending me to an offensive driving-and-shooting course in Texas.

So not ONLY will I be able to make fast turns down tight alleys, I'll be able to shoot out o' the car while doing it.

I just have to make it to my 18th birthday ^-^

Pleaseme 09-12-2006 02:44 PM

I just watched Comfortabley Numb Live on Youtube, my jaw dropped. Absolutely bloody awsome!

Sunshine 09-12-2006 02:52 PM

No idea, but I know its a military course [my parents took it too, you learn to roll cars and how to hit a car without hurting yourself or them and all o' that].

A girl that can drive, shoot and plays drums.

So long as you aren't lesbian or fat, you'll be a valuable piece on the market.... just gotta keep you away from that pespi thing.

Sunshine 09-12-2006 03:20 PM

Haha, oh good. I'll be a piece on the market.

But no. I'll not be fat, nor shall I suddenly become attracted to those who are dickless [in the most literal sense of the term].

Whoo~
