If any of those Albert King albums has "Blues Power" on it, can you send it to me? The song rules, but mine cuts off when he starts soloing :upset:

That song is amazing. I just got done listening to it. I'll be on Soulseek.

Great job on the writeup Freud.

I'd love to have any of the Albert King albums if you could upload one of them.

JonG 11-13-2005 02:47 PM

Once the last track finishes on "In Session", I'll upload them.

Doctor Night 11-13-2005 03:02 PM

Anyone know any good WhiteSnake Albums.

Krabsworth 11-13-2005 03:08 PM
I'm also listening to the Miles Smiles right now. It's pretty awesome.

I got banned for clicking a hack link

WhiteSnake played at a festival near me this summer (Brat Days). The singer got drunk and jumped off the stage and the show was cancelled.

Yea it's not like it was my fault. I didn't know the link did anything, and after I found out, I explained what happened and told them where I clicked it. So much for that.

No, my e-spect' is gone.

But seriously this whole link thing is funny, people are now so paranoid about clicking links.

Watch out, Spat Out Plath might be lurking somewhere.

PinkFreud 11-13-2005 03:38 PM

zing!

more people should visit the vs. thread. it appears to be dying, even when stickied.

Jacaran 11-13-2005 03:40 PM

Is it just me or whenever I read or hear interviews with Jeff Beck he seems really bitter and grumpy. Anyone else sense that?

PinkFreud 11-13-2005 03:41 PM

ive never read or heard an interview with him. haha. he seems to be kind of reclusive and edgy. i could imagine him being like that in an interview.

New account I see. Good to see jolly ol' Mick back.

I kind of thought Beck was kind of a hermit.
magicbus, if your account wasn't hijacked and it was just a threadspawning link, then I'll unban you now (it was me who banned you). I only banned you as I didn't know if chad had actually taken over your account or if it was just a threadspawner. Once you're unbanned could you change your password though (immediately, please). We've spent quite a long time today cleaning it up, so that's why people are being banned for it.

Eh, they're OK. Better than the Stones, anyway. :p Their reformation was horrible, but during their early work they were a good alt-rock band.
I'm pretty sure he didn't take over my account

I know I clicked a link, and then Gilmour told me about the thread it created, so it must've been an automatic thing. I'll switch my password right now.

And I don't think Beck comes off as grumpy. In fact, he seems like a fun-loving, goofy kind of guy. I read an interview with him in Guitar World, and he seemed to be enjoying himself. We also saw a clip of him talking about when he met Hendrix in my Rock History class, and he was really laid back.

magicbus 11-13-2005 03:51 PM

It seems to be working alright, thanks Med :thumb:

Thats my new favorite song

I just went and played for this local band that does jazz/new orleans/gospel music with saxes, trombones, trumpets and drums. How many of you play Jazz?

Nice old avatar, Jacaranda

zabbit82 11-13-2005 03:54 PM

The article I read in Guitar World was one with Jimmy Page and Jeff Beck. Beck didnt seem so grumpy or bitter...

i used to, when i played sax. i cant get a handle on jazz drumming. i dont swing enough.

Jacaran 11-13-2005 03:59 PM

Well now, I just saw an interview about him in 89 when his new CD (at the time was coming out) and he seemed really bitter about not being popular, then I saw one not long ago and he was just seemed really big headed everytime the interviewer asked him a question on like, another guitarist.

Maybe he was just having a bad day!

I'm afraid I don't know enough jazzy chords to play jazz. Did you hear the Something cover I recording?

No, did you send it over e-mail? My email ha via muerto, but I'm sure you could post the link here as it is your cover

thickasabrick 11-13-2005 04:15 PM

I play jazz now and then, usually just stuff I make up. I prefer the rhythm aspect of playing jazz guitar, the interesting chords and progressions, instead of the lead stuff.

I just posted it here last night, no e-mail.

It's only the guitar parts. Two rhythm tracks and a lead track.

Thats just freaking awesome

I don't have school tomorrow, but I might see my friend who has a mic, who could bring it in on Tuesday, whereby I could record it on a Microsoft sound recorder and get it sent on Tuesday, or I could try to get ahold of the school's recording equipment, which I could also be able to do on Tuesday
If that all works, could I just send you the MS sound redorder file over YSI?

Do you want me to send you audacity? That's the recording program I use, and you can record a lot longer than MS sound recorder, and do layers too.
