Chuck Palahniuk - Fight club, lullaby, Choke, etC
Kurt Vonnegut - Cats Cradle, Slaugherhouse 5, etc

My favorite author is Tolkien. (You might have known that.) I also really like Frank Herbert's Dune series.


I've heard Wheel of Time is really, really good. I also want to read the Dark Elf Trilogy.

I've been reading books by this author named Douglas Coupland and he is just fantastic.

I read one book of his called [b]Microserfs[/b] which was really good. It was written in the form of this guy writing a daily journal and just what happened every day. Him and a few other people work at Microsoft, then another job offer comes along to work for a new company started by a friend, so they all take the job, etc.
And it's a really good book.

Now I'm reading another of his books called [b]All Families Are Psychotic[/b] which is also great. I've read about 170 of the 280 pages of the book today only, which is when I started reading it. It's about this family who are all meeting up together for the first time in years and years because the daughter, who is an astronaut, is going up into space in about a week. So the family all gathers so they can all say their goodbyes and stuff, but it is the most messed up, dysfunctional family that has even been imagined.
I'll finish reading it tomrrow, it's really good.
