It's a completely different system, judging it based on yours is irrelevant. Different system, different expectations, different teaching methods, different assessments.

So do they give you harder stuff, and just hope you get half of it? Still seems odd

Along with that, I think there's a lot to do with expectations. If you have a pass degree with a weighted average of 50-60, you're not going to be the most highly sought after graduate. With me for example, when I get below 75 for an assignment I feel disappointed.

I see, so your guys overall effects what kind of degree you guys get? I usually shoot for a B(80-89%)
