How did you find it? last year i liked how the times were staggered, but it was kind of annoying that all the stalls were in the middle between the stages.
Tbh, I thought it was a pretty good setup - not as massive as download, pretty manageable. Getting to the smaller stages was a bit weird though, behind that massive block of stalls... was it the same last year?

Should have gone last year really, seeing NIN would have been ace.... but it would have been the 6th time I will have seen them :P

Sorry that last reply was so short, was just so knackered  got some sorta flu **** today for some reason...

EDIT: Just remembered, after seeing tim minchin at sonisphere, periphery came on over the PA... had to explain to my girlfriend :P Also some awesome bastard decided to put a whole set of zappa tunes on while waiting for Alice in Chains \m/

purple_hazer 08-03-2010 01:40 PM

damn zappa on the PA trumps any 'bridge' tunes

What is every one's opinion on Midi?

I keep going back to the Mesa/Boogie Mark V, but I have run across some Midi capable (or with it built in) amps. It is interesting, as I like having multiple channels for the fact I can set multiple sounds. Though Midi either has evolved, or isn't exactly what I thought it was. It isn't really digitally made sound, as it is just digital controls for things making the sound.

The Hughes & Kettner Switchblade and Carvin Legacy II have caught my attention. From the videos I've seen I really don't dig the sound of the H&K, but the Legacy II I do dig a little. I believe a Midi footswitch (i.e. using the Midi capabilities) with the Legacy II will solve my only gripe; channels sharing controls. If I can set up a clean, create a patch, then switch around the controls to make a light distortion, create a patch, and still have the amp essentially internally revert back to the Low/Mid/High settings I had when I set the patch then I'd be cool with the whole sharing controls.

Only slight downfall, well not with the H&K, is that Amp + Midi footswitch basically costs as much as the Boogie Mark V does anyways.

boy thats interesting do go on

Yeah it sounds pretty much the same. Sylosis were probably the best bands along with Tallica and Linkin Park (lol).
Thats wicked about Periphery on the PA.

at least i got us all talking again

and its ok about getting up early tomorrow managed to flog a sleeping tablet, + just took some ibuprofen

Sleeping is super fcked up though, being going to bed at 7-9am in the morning and getting up about 3-4

jaklyons 08-06-2010 05:10 PM

I generally go to bed at around 2 and wake up at around half past 7, before trying (usually failing tbh) to go to sleep for another hour or so.

I never get enough sleep for my liking.
