Well basically the pre lease would be signed sometime this month, and you'd need to put forth like 400 dollars that is refundable upon move in, and they said move in would either be mid june or july, and that's when we'd start paying rent split between 4 people, so is that like totally unworkable for you because if we wanna get this particular place that's kinda how it has to be or else it will end up going to someone else.

gmoneyguy 02-03-2010 02:39 AM

how much are apartments in seattle

We have school associate apartment complexes but you rent by room and share a living area and kitchen.

Angmar 02-03-2010 02:41 AM

The place we're looking out is a 3 br for 1300 a month, which is pretty affordable some around here run a lot higher.

Ralphie Rivera 02-03-2010 02:42 AM

they are all $800

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 02:43 AM

The deposit I'm not worried about, I can come up with that this month no problem. I guess I just need more time to get situated with school, because if we did do this then I would have to go to South Seattle immediately instead of transferring. I'm not saying that's a problem, but it's just what it is.

Let me get back to you in the next few weeks. I'll get in contact with SS tomorrow and see how their programs compare and what tuition is like.

But if worst comes to worst, it's not like this is the only place. When do you have to be out of the dorms?

Angmar 02-03-2010 02:47 AM

It's not so much a matter as when I have to be out but apartments around here go fast so I'm trying to get a pre lease agreement set up asap, and most leases are for a year so paying over the summer is just kind of the deal. But yeah get a hold of SS and see what the deal is there, if they aren't good try SC too.

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 02:54 AM

I looked at Craigslist and there's a lot of apartments available in Seattle around University Place from $900-1,200 (all 3br). If perhaps we did wait until everything was a little more secure we wouldn't really need a pre-lease. My only worry is that I would have to get a job in Seattle as well, which might be kind of tough. I don't know how bad employment is down there, but still.

I'm not sure whether student loans will cover off campus housing either. Another question I'll have to ask both colleges.

Angmar 02-03-2010 02:59 AM

Okay well do what you need to do as far as asking questions and research goes, I'll take a look at the place and maybe we can have a better idea of what we'll end up doing in a week or two, also University Place is in Tacompton, I saw some of those nicely priced 3 br's and got excited but if it's UW you're looking for you wanna look for University District, just type in "University Washington" in the search bar.

I pay 300 a month for rent and cable. My roommates gf pays for utilities and thirds the cable with us.

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 02:59 AM

damn yeah i was thinking it may not be in seattle lol

They should. You should get a refund check for everything after your tuition is paid.

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 03:02 AM

That's what my dad said, and if that's the case that will change things definitely.

Angmar 02-03-2010 03:03 AM

Also getting a job might not be too hard, just look on craigslist there's tons of offerings up right now, I would have a job myself if I wasn't starting this internship in the spring, but I know lots of people with general jobs around here, even your campus might have some.

gmoneyguy 02-03-2010 03:04 AM

I hate when I only have a few beers and don't get straight drunk that I get a headache a few hours afterward.

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 03:11 AM

Still smoking weed? Last time we talked I heard you quit.

From what I've been reading, student loans can cover off campus housing.

Angmar 02-03-2010 03:12 AM

Yeah typically, is your dad going to help with your schooling costs?

gmoneyguy 02-03-2010 03:13 AM

I don't buy. My friend always has some and smokes me out when we chill. I just can't afford to buy and I find its better that I'm not high all day every day. If I did buy I would be in a constant state of stoned.

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 03:23 AM

Yeah, I hardly do it anymore. I think I just kind of grew out of it I guess, idk.
Yeah typically, is your dad going to help with your schooling costs?
Yeah, some probably. I actually just went online and filled out a pre-app. for south seattle, so we'll see what I hear back.

gmoneyguy 02-03-2010 03:25 AM

If you're like me, you'll go through phases of smoking a lot then not smoking a lot. I'm pretty much giving it up. I'm moving to Ohio at the end of summer when my lease is up and I'm planning not picking it back up as I'm going to try to find more of a real job there.

Against Miik! 02-03-2010 04:21 AM

haha good luck finding a job.

Where in brOhio?

Nostalgia 02-03-2010 04:37 AM

Weren't you a server before, Brian? That's what I'm trying to do, the bitches at my work make TONS just because of tips. I'm assuming that may change a little because Seattle is kind of big, thus less regulars, but still. I do every back of the house job at my restaurant and still only make $10. Sucks, man.

just watched the animated version of Dante's Inferno that came out, well worth checking out

Aaron 02-03-2010 06:12 AM

Just beat Meatplow in chess in 4 moves.

Meatplow 02-03-2010 06:13 AM

I really fell for that one lol

you have a way of coming out of left field

Ventriloquist 02-03-2010 06:13 AM

I was going to DL it but I dunno the animation looked pretty crappy in the trailer.

edit: dante's inferno

Meatplow 02-03-2010 06:15 AM

some animation moments aren't particularly sexy, but otherwise it looks really nice
