imo not drinking is worse because being drunk people when you're sober is intolerable for me. And well, most of my friends are 21 and rather unimaginative about what to do most of the time (myself included) so it's like well let's go buy beer and go to the river.

i dont hang out with 99% of my friends anymore. but now that im sober (minus alcohol) and thinking clearly, ive realized that 99% of that 99% wasnt really even friends. just like, hey, ive gotten ****ed up with you before, so i guess were friends right? idk, ive realized that its just better to not have fake friends in your life. theres really no need for them.

i don't really respect any of my friends i hang out with. it's kind of sad considering how similar we are.

yeah i could see that being a problem. its worked out well for me because the handful of people i decided were actually my friends dont live in the same city as me. theyre off in college about 35 minutes away. so they dont hang out with all the local kids that i no longer care for. so at least every other weekend i make the trek out to richardson to chill with me true friends.

This is what I'm experiencing now. I'm starting to become pretty good friends with two guys at my work, and I can say that in the 3 months we've known each other I care more about them than the others I used to drink and get stoned with.

My best friend is living in Florida now but he wants me to move there and get an apartment with him. It won't happen, but he's the kind of friend that I wouldn't mind spending the airfare on.

only way i make friends is at work

every school year there's new workers, just gotta hope they're cool

i don't really hang out with my friends from high school anymore - my circle of friends kinda changed when i started college and joined my fraternity. i know people will probably laugh at this, but the bond between people in a fraternity is just completely different from that between friends. i mean that's why it's called brotherhood.
