The term pirate radio actually refers to actual radio stations, because it is illegal to broadcast your own radio station because the government owns the frequencies.
well, i knew that. but i figured the name had other motivations, so i figured i'd ask. you ever make out with a pirate?
I'm assembling a list of about 4 or 5 songs I want to cover when I get my band going. So far I have: The adicts - calling calling, choking victim - money, and catch 22 - better than you.

Does your band cover anything other than guns of brixton?
"Money" isn't originally by Choking Victim...if you didn't know that.

Forest_Fire 07-16-2005 07:45 PM

Actually, I didn't know that. (I downloaded it so I don't have the booklet)

Who is it originally by? It's one of my favourite choking victim songs

_Tyler 07-16-2005 07:47 PM

I forget actually...

EDIT: Cyndi Lauper. CV changed the lyrics around though.

They covered a Cyndi Lauper song? How punk is that?

It's on the verge of gangsta, is what it is. *starts beatboxing*

Forest_Fire 07-16-2005 07:52 PM

Woah. I'm just going to pretend I never learned that.

Anxious 07-16-2005 07:54 PM

10 more to 2000 pages. I remember when i used to go to sleep, then wake up and the CT would gain like 20 pages. Those were the days..........................

SlappedByTheClash 07-16-2005 07:56 PM

Lose it in the dance, man!

Honestly, you'll feel better after doing the robot, and you'll never remember this whole CV incident.
if im thinking of the same money, then its pink floyd
No, "Money Changes Everything" by Cindy Lauper.

...I think it would be easy to recognize the Pink Floyd song

Forest_Fire 07-16-2005 08:00 PM

Actually, I just got a hat that makes me want to skank. And so I did today, for the first time in a while.

edit: woah woah, "money" and money changes everything are two very different songs. I could see how money changes everything could be a cover, but not my beloved "money"

_Tyler 07-16-2005 08:05 PM

OH! They also cover Money Changes Everything though! It was on some comp. I didn't know they had a song called Money as well.

Forest_Fire 07-16-2005 08:10 PM
Money Changes Everything [from "Mass Destruction" Compilation]
Yeah

_Tyler 07-16-2005 08:11 PM

Sorry about that haha

ScuzzBucket89 07-16-2005 08:25 PM

anyone here goin to ska is dead 3 this fall, i just saw the dates on the website

Forest_Fire 07-16-2005 08:29 PM

I wish. Ska is dead is supposed to help revive the ska scenes around the country, but they hit places like california and new jersey every time. Never Kentucky, or even Indianapolis. And the Toasters are headlining this time! I would kill to see the toasters. I'm pissed becuase the closest date is about a 6-8 hour drive, and no one I know who can drive wants to go.
