Moondance is a cool song, I like all the jazz influences you can hear.

I like Van Morrison.

Anyway, I now know how to play The Times They Are A-Changing, which is very fun to play.
I love the intro to that.
The Concert For George is awesome. I've never heard Jeff Lynne sing, but I really like his voice on "I Want To Tell You". The version of "Taxman" that Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers do is pretty cool, and I like how the guitarist plays the first solo almost identical to the record, even though the solo was pretty messy in the first place. All the songs with Clapton are sweet, and it'll be cool to see him playing the solos on "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" when I get the dvd. I'm not really sure what to make of McCartney's version of "Something", but I haven't listened all the way through yet, so maybe it'll get better.

Thanks again Freud :thumb:
That sounds like a pretty sweet DVD to get, who else plays besides Clapton, Petty, and McCartney?

Broken Arrow 11-09-2005 03:38 PM

I'm liking this concert for George thingy. Something by Paul and Clapton isn't bad at all.

This is just from memory, but Ravi Shankur's kid plays sitar, Dhani Harrison (George's son), Jeff Lynne, the guy from Procal Harum, Ringo, Billy Preston... I know I'm missing a few.

JonG 11-09-2005 03:47 PM

The only Rod Stewart I like is "Every Picture Tells a Story", he is good on Truth also.

Other than that, I can't stand him.

/late

Broken Arrow 11-09-2005 03:49 PM

Ringo does a song too.

/doesn't like Rod either

We won't let them such this thread down, before 60,000 posts at least

My friend likes Bright Eyes, they aren't too bad, but I can only listen to them if I'm in that pensive mood

Concert for George is awesome

Magicbus- Do you still want McCartney?

PinkFreud 11-09-2005 04:54 PM

Woodstock 11-09-2005 05:47 PM

What's some good music to listen to when you're sick? :(

magicbus 11-09-2005 05:55 PM

Joe Brown's performance of "Here Comes the Sun" is pretty cool, and I listened to the rest of "Something". It does end up getting pretty cool.

Walrus - I'm not sure I know what's wrong. If you want to send me the link over AIM or something, I'll send it out to the e-mail list.

Woodstock - I don't know, but sorry to hear you're sick.

NP: Bluesbreakers - Ramblin' On My Mind

Woodstock 11-09-2005 06:01 PM

Jazz is sounding better now. Weird.

Maybe some Nick Drake or Mike Oldfield will sound good, I don't know.

It does the same thing with AIM. Ach. Aye. Tomorrow I shall send it from school. Aye. that's it.
