I'm so tired, but I haven't been able to sleep at all really the past 2 nights. It takes me an hour or more of laying in bed to even get tired, then I get the whole "half hour of sleep, wake up, repeat" thing all night.

Today I tried napping, and ended up just laying on the couch for an hour and a half, until I just gave up. I really want to get sleeping pills, but my mom's a nurse, and she says that sleeping pills = bad times generally, especially if you start relying on them, which I probably would.

Berk 09-08-2006 06:19 AM

I'm currently eating froot loops and wishing it was still sumer holidays.

I didnt do my math homework.

i've had my fair sare of those nights. it literally is every half hour and it's frustrating because it takes a good 45 minutes to fall back asleep.

as far as sleeping pills go, i'd only use them in moderation. ambient(sp) pills say they non-habit forming and wont cause dependency, but my friend got the 30 day trial pack and had a real hell of a time trying to sleep once he ran out.

he'd end up staying awake until 5 am and having to work a nine hour shift at 9am meaning he'd have to get up around 8

Corkofski 09-08-2006 10:35 AM

just take **** loads of proplus and stay up.

then the next night, sleep will be easy.

or sleep naked / in boxers.

that helps me....

LoneStarDrummer 09-08-2006 10:37 AM

i can't do the whole sleeping naked thing. i've tried. i have to have at least some boxers on. that's all i wear to sleep.

actually they're boxer briefs. i hate regualr boxers. no support nor comfort. you might as well not wear them at all.

damn, my physics class is about to start, i better get going.

maniac0796 09-08-2006 11:03 AM

I played rugby today for games. It was the best game of rugby i've ever played in the 5 years i've been at school.

I might go to the carni in the next town tommorow, but i don't have any money, and i don't like borrowing money off friends... What do you think. Go and be with my friends and have a moderatly ogod time
go with my friends, scab some money, and have an excellent time
Sit at home posting random crap on MXDP

Drum Phil 09-08-2006 11:58 AM

Bored. I have to wear wrist support so im annoyed about that.

raz0r 09-08-2006 12:18 PM

:D

After months of failed attempts, I finally managed to get hold of tickets for the Tool concert on the 9th November, I should be picking them up tomorrow :D

Hopefully I'll be able to get there nice and early, and get spots right up against the barrier, like I did back in July

Win A Rabbit 09-08-2006 12:57 PM

A friend of mine sleeps naked. I could never do it, because half the time my mom comes in to wake me up. That'd get a little awkward from time to time.

What do you guys think? It'll take me a couple days to actually figure out 2 of my old supervisor's full name, and the company phone # and address, but I want to go hand in my application today. A friend said she just puts "references available on request", since nobody ever calls references for a $9/hour job.

Drum Phil 09-08-2006 01:24 PM

So, after playing around with trad all today, i tilted my snare away from my left hand a little and gave it a whirl. Had to move some stuff around but so far it feels alright to me.

I just went for an interview at sears. Whatta waste of time. This lady had me standing outside in the rain for 10 mins before she let me in to see a Manager. And our conversation went like this.

Manager/ Why are you all wet?

Me/I was outside in the rain waiting for an interview.

Manager/Why didnt you come inside and sit?

Me/The door says employees only

Manager/If you cant come inside on your own what makes you think you can work on our loading dock?

Me/ *Walks out*

Win A Rabbit 09-08-2006 02:07 PM

 That was like my first day in grade 10. I walked into my drama class (went into it with a friend, he dropped out right before, I already disliked the teacher from the previous year)

"I see you didn't bring a binder"

"I didn't think I needed a binder for drama. I can just put that sheet of paper in a binder later, if you give it to me."

"And you expect to remember lines if you can't remember to bring a binder your first day?"

"Well, I'm out of here." *Walk out*

Janeway 09-08-2006 02:23 PM

I can't believe how tired I was this morning.

My first alarm went off, and I refused to believe it was already 6, so I reached up and shut it off before falling back asleep. Two minutes later, the second went off and I damn near cried.
After the third one went off, I just said fuck it and went back to bed.

But I still ended up getting up at 6:30. I wanted to cry all day.

Edit: I don't want them to catch Bucky. =/

Haha, Sears wouldn't hire me. My hair violates the dress code.

My friend works there though...he dropped a TV, the last one of that model that they had, and the customer had to go up to Tucson to buy it.

maniac0796 09-08-2006 03:34 PM

What is sears?

Janeway 09-08-2006 03:45 PM

Big department store chain.

Everything they sell is crap.

Hmm...
Nobuo Uematsu is good. It's the only sound track music I can listen to for three hours straight and not get bored out of my mind.

His music is great :D

My internet/myspace/MSN is being the biggest jerkoff EVER.

My interest in drumming has gone down, Its seems I'm not getting any better. The way I feel about my gear is very poor, And I'm always told to stop (Siblings/Parents). Its really depressing. There's no life left in drumming it seems for me. I always screw up, I have no intention to play. Meh. I hope this passes. Cuase I REALLY like drumming.

ludvista29 09-08-2006 04:34 PM

=\ you just got a kit too.........

Janeway 09-08-2006 04:39 PM

Go look for videos of drummers on youtube. About 98% of them suck.
It'll make you feel better about your own playing.

Yeah, Uematsu's music is good.
I deleted my FF sound tracks, though. =/
All I have left is the FFX and FFVIII piano sound track, which are both excellent, but not the same.

That always happens to me.... especially my sister who wants to play piano. She can't seem to get it past her thick skull that if she lets me play drums when i get back from school, she doesn't have to suffer later on in the evening...

Meh, My sister always come's home saying she has a migrane. All those are an extreme headache. Saying its a migrane is like saying Phil has a huge wang.

Am I the only one who wants to shoot this guy?

And since when has there been a Tool song called Effigy.

What a fucking joke.

MeaninglessPhoto 09-08-2006 04:53 PM

His voice makes me want to shoot myself.

Janeway 09-08-2006 04:54 PM

We've had a few threads complaining about him.

Balamb Garden.

maniac0796 09-08-2006 05:04 PM

I just ate a bowl of shreddies.

I wish my mum bought coco pops. I love coco pops! She has this thing that if she bought coco pops, she may aswell just give me sweets instead of cereal. There isn't that much chocolate in coco pops

Berk 09-08-2006 05:05 PM

Those are some hot glasses.

Janeway 09-08-2006 05:07 PM

I like corn pops...

But we have honey bunches of oats and shredded wheat.

Sometimes off brand cheerios if we're feeling a bit risky.
