all black metal is gay compared to this |
all black metal is gay compared to this
foolish statement |
you are just mad your elitist cred is challenged by music you cannot understand
|
dude i dont hate all this shit you know that right
its just like, you hear three pe "bands" youve heard them all |
same goes for traditional black metal that doesn't incorporate influences from other genres idk why we are splitting hairs over this
|
same doesnt go for traditional black metal one burzum album has more diversity in it than the whole of the pe genre
|
PE is like Black Metal where the focus is pretending you're a pedophile to scare people instead of pretending to worship satan to scare people
|
pretending do inject drugs is the new pretending to worship satan
|
same doesnt go for traditional black metal one burzum album has more diversity in it than the whole of the pe genre
rubbish I mean if you think of noise at its purist as just constant whirring harsh sound frequencies over and over it is still just about on par with the limitations of BM, I mean fuck you can only do so much with crap production, blastbeats and tremolo picked riffs at least if you are circuit breaking things you can come up with some wildly unusual textures and sounds. if you start introducing other musical elements, and both genres do extensively, it is not really what it was supposed to be to begin with and hard to argue value for. as Alex points out both tend to be centered on lame shock value, for me PE wins out though because it has an almost unfair advantage in terms of abrasiveness and makes most BM that hasn't adopted its characteristics sound like pop music  |
yeah this is really good
they did a split with deathkey too
deathkey is some good stuff |
if there is one thing awkward pop has taught me it is the cycle of post-industrial music lands back squarely at top 40 pop, mainstream rock and nu-metal
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forms_of_Paper
so this isn't to be confused with that Paper Music you posted not so long ago? |
anyone like FFH?
|
fav death in june album?
|
Brown Book, Scorpion Wind or Kapo!. Burial, The Wall of Sacrifice and But What Ends When The Symbols Shatter? come close, never cared too much for Rose Clouds of Holocaust for some reason
All Pigs Must Die, The Rule of Thirds and The Peaceful Snow are my least favourite, our of the slew of late 90's/2000 stuff I can actually remember. I can give them an ironic listen, but fortunately his earlier stuff was comparatively cheese-free. |
