TriggerNYC 04-13-2010 12:38 PM
lol josh i wasn't an alcoholic. i rarely drank. i quit because i quit smoking and did it to better my overall health.
same here. quit smoking so i could run more and not be tired to lose weight. then had to stop getting drunk bc when im drunk and hanging around smokers i want to smoke.

i dont miss the smell and the expense and the cancer. i do miss the feeling tho. being healthy isnt so rock n roll.
i thought you were at uni?

or is it a part time thing
I work 3 days a week. I'm like 6 weeks away from finishing uni.

Kuffuffled 04-13-2010 01:28 PM
i like the song that's posted a lot. i can hear a lot of cool melodies to go over the top of that ambient chord progression. when it picks up around the 2:00 mark, it's pretty sweet. wish the clean guitar would do more when the guitars really kick in. definitely sounds awesome though.
Thanks bro.. We actually don't sound anything like that. I wanted to get a different player on the page because myspace's is garbage, so I put my own stuff up, we have no recordings yet. I want some synths in there just haven't done it yet

purple_hazer 04-13-2010 01:43 PM

then get on that **** man!

Kuffuffled 04-13-2010 02:53 PM

periphery is leaked, listening now

Blue_Moon 04-13-2010 04:14 PM

I dig all they're music but man those vocals just do not go well with me. hopefully someone torrents their bonus cd that doesn't have vocals.

mnemonic 04-14-2010 12:07 AM

what is the bonus track, "Captain On"?

i've never heard of that song.

JoshIsNumber3 04-14-2010 12:38 AM

There's nothing better than well written and mixed pop music. This is a fact.

Left Face Down 04-14-2010 12:51 AM

American pop music has it wrong though. They need to go with 5-10 member cute girl bands instead of 1 or 2 slutty whores.

There's nothing positive in anything Asian. Anyone who disagrees is a weeaboo fgt.

Aes820 04-14-2010 01:27 AM

Dunno Josh. Think I feel a hint of yellow fever coming on after watching that clip of chinky chicks.

so is this job where you picked up the obsession with blades and killing things and cutting up cadavers

and do you also have a desire to murder one or more of your co-workers

Bruce E Kinesis 04-14-2010 04:51 AM

Would you perform an autopsy out of morbid curiosity

Squirrel 04-14-2010 05:32 AM

aes what do you do for a living?

Aes820 04-14-2010 05:46 AM

Websites 'n shi.
Managing the online presence of various Government campaigns.
I thought you've asked me that before?
And when I'm not working I'm climbing, been doing a lot of that lately.

The_Mop 04-14-2010 06:04 AM

Currently doing: the most useless business assignment ever. Who knew part of an EE degree would be pulling numbers out of the fucking air.

In other news, sup lod?

oic

is business good etc, do you enjoy it?

i probably have asked but it'll have been quite a while ago methinks

Left Face Down 04-14-2010 06:38 AM

I remember pulling numbers out of the ****ing air. I never liked doing it, and ironically the only time it worked out in my favor the teacher was like OMFG you should be more scientific! Apparently "we had this so I made it work" wasn't that great of an answer for him.

Kind of miss school, the women of course. Not the classes, or the fact EE classes have very few women in them.

Bruce E Kinesis 04-14-2010 07:10 AM

Electronic Engineering?

You did that in high school?

4yearpro? 04-14-2010 08:02 AM
Electronic Engineering?

No college, though I did take an engineering class in High School. I learned how to solder and such in 10th grade and the class made us do a few minor projects. Learned how to read the resistor color bands and so on and so forth. It wasn't an electrical engineering specific class, actually covered a few areas of engineering.

Project I was refer to was something I did last spring. Concept of the project was to create a computer program which had levels. Each level made you play a different note. Simple little progression; level one is the first note, level two would be that note plus another, and the third level actually comprised of the first two notes + two more notes. Was going to hook the guitar up to a circuit based around a Basic Atom 40 Microcontroller which would sense if you played the correct notes. If you did you moved on to the next level, if you didn't; you didn't.

The Basic Atom 40 had a command which should have been able to sense the frequency of the signal coming in. However it didn't work properly. So I tried to do it the easy way and sample it, but the Basic Atom 40 didn't seem to pick up the signal. Despite the signal being clear as day if I hooked the circuit up to the... ugh, too early for my brain to work. What ever the tech. name is for the machine which generates wave forms of the signals it reads.

Turns out the Basic Atom 40 couldn't sample at a high enough rate to actually do what I wanted. Though the problem was the microcontroller sucked so much balls, the manual was wrong, and other various issues basically had my hands tied behind my back so badly I didn't even get to the point where that would have been a major issue.

Needless to say 3 out of 7 of the students in the class fell victim to this flaw which none of figured out as we couldn't get the thing to recognize the signal let alone try to sample it. So we all got like 50's on the projects.

JoshIsNumber3 04-14-2010 09:21 AM

So your main point is I don't miss college because I can't pass the classes.

The Black Fist 04-14-2010 10:00 AM

I don't show up here in several months and we're still on the same lod?

sup mx seems I haven't missed much

Squirrel 04-14-2010 10:09 AM

sup josh

Bruce E Kinesis 04-14-2010 10:14 AM

Some days you just can't get rid of a lod

Left Face Down 04-14-2010 10:18 AM
So your main point is I don't miss college because I can't pass the classes.
I actually passed the class with a high C. One of the other students which fell to the same crappy issue I did graduated with a 3.9. So I don't exactly think it was smarts, more like crappy equipment given to me by the school and a teacher that was like yeah do it!
I don't show up here in several months and we're still on the same lod?

Lod is slow... mostly contains me posting and then Josh posting some sort of thing he probably think insults me after I post. You can see how conversation isn't exactly blooming in this environment.

jaklyons 04-14-2010 11:37 AM

sup dave
