"Repo Man. I'm here to take your pants."

School could have been worse today...I want to drop Radio Productions cause my class is filled with morons, but I had a ton of downtime today.

Apocalypticon 09-06-2007 05:37 PM

yeah but pretend it wasn't a latino and instead a white kid

...:(

Jom 09-06-2007 05:39 PM

Tojes, how's your Spanoli? Someone asked me a question in it and I sorta-kinda have it in my head, but I'm concerned that the cobwebs in my head are getting my words mixed up.

Yeah in that case it'd be bad. Poor white people. :(

Pretty prevalescent in my head since I speak, breathe and pretty much interact with it all day, :p

Sure ask anything. :)

Jom 09-06-2007 06:30 PM

It's kind of a grammar thing; I forget when I'm supposed to use 'es' and 'esta.'

:(

MBS 09-06-2007 06:43 PM

es is permanent, esta is temporary.

well es is describing something like that won't change and esta is describing something that is prone to change (i.e weather and current states of stuff)

el arroz esta frio.

the rice is cold. it's not always gonna be cold, but it's cold now.

el es muy chistoso.

he is really funny

describing a character trait so it's kind of permanent.

that's basically my run down, anyway, but i only got up to spanish 3.

(pls correct me if i'm wrong)

The Door Mouse 09-06-2007 06:45 PM

Yay for not taking Spanish. :p

i am the robots 09-06-2007 06:47 PM

:(
I'm trying to figure out but I can't when I use which. :(

I just know some cases in which it sounds awkward, but they are synonyms idk.

I think "es" can be used indifferently from the time you're giving a subject certain adjectives, while "esta" is more common when describing present adjectives.

Ergh.

Grammar. :(

EDIT: What MBS said.

I wasn't aware, though.

Permanancy is es, esta is used to describe temperary conditions.

I find it funny how Brendan Small considers himself a big metal fan yet he doesn't seem to know a whole lot about it. At least in this interview:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bjYHt1zFfhA

The most revealing statement is when he says metal has gotten heavier from the 80s/90s time period. Obviously he hasn't heard any Cryptopsy or Demigod.

masada 09-06-2007 08:06 PM

doesnt matter since that show ****ing sucks

publicastration 09-06-2007 08:10 PM

No it doesn't.

Tyler 09-06-2007 08:11 PM

the jokes on that show aren't even jokes. people only laugh because LOL THAT IS RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS! omg THAT RESTAURANT IS CALLED BURZUMS THAT'S HILARIOUS.

masada 09-06-2007 08:14 PM

rofl metal rofl

publicastration 09-06-2007 08:14 PM

I don't laugh at those little in jokes. I just think the show as a whole is funny.

Tyler 09-06-2007 08:16 PM

but what's funny about it? it's just a bunch of shitty references and shitty impersonations.

publicastration 09-06-2007 08:17 PM

You could say the same about South Park.

masada 09-06-2007 08:18 PM

good point!

Tyler 09-06-2007 08:19 PM
You could say the same about South Park.
Only all the jokes on South Park derive from the plot, which typically derives from current political or popular culture occurances.

Yeah, that's pretty similar to shitty fake european accents and really gay in jokes that only exist to make queer little metalheads feel better about themselves.

Glitterati 09-06-2007 08:20 PM

but south park has cartoons of people pooping

/trump card

masada 09-06-2007 08:20 PM

hey guys METAL

lmao

Tyler 09-06-2007 08:21 PM

Burzums?

DUDE. I KNOW WHAT BURZUM IS. THAT IS FUNNY.

oh my god, he bares a slight resemblance to Devin Townsend! That is FUNNY.
