Nuh-Uh, John was the coolest!....No, you guys are right, George was the coolest. John's still my favourite though.:)
Just saw that you guys were talking about the "Best".

Obviously Paul.
You dont know how much **** i get from ppl for thinking that.

blue3 11-13-2005 12:58 AM
Yep. Good to see another Watching the Wheels fan. What an overlooked song. Double Fantasy is a great album excluding Yoko's songs. (Just Like) Starting Over and Beautiful Boy are great too.
Watching The Wheels is an awesome song. I have Double Fantasy.. in vinyl. But I don't have a record player, so I've never heard it before :upset:

JonG 11-13-2005 12:58 AM

"Something" is an amazing song. I love the guitar solo. So fun to play.

No, actually, we were talking about who's the "coolest.";)

darkkeeper9 11-13-2005 06:31 AM

Hey did any of you guys see the george harrison tribute concert. Clapton, McCartney and Billy preston where preforming, if so what did you think of it?

Blackbird 11-13-2005 07:03 AM
I was with my grandpa yesterday and a song came on his cd played called Imagine. Then I listened to the words and they were the exact same as lennon's. And then my pup told me that John Lennon did not write "Imagine". That sort of upset me becaue thats my favortie Lennon song. I do love Lennons version of it, its alot better. Just thought Id let people know that Imagine was a 50s song that Lennon didnt write, he just covers it.
I seriously doubt that. I wouldn't listen to many old people.
That song "blackbird" is quite relaxing
Tell me about it. That song is amazing.

DeusExMachina 11-13-2005 08:51 AM

Blackbird is the first song I learned how to play on the guitar. What a great song.

Hep Kat 11-13-2005 09:10 AM

Blackbird is an excellent song...

Broken Arrow 11-13-2005 10:27 AM

Daytripper is the first song I learned on guitar.

Leper 11-14-2005 12:43 AM
Daytripper is the first song I learned on guitar.
I love that riff. Possibly the Beatels best main guitar riff in a song. April Wine's "I like to rock" totally rips it off though. It bugs me every time I hear that song.

blue3 11-14-2005 01:01 AM

Hair of the Dog is similar too.

Leper 11-14-2005 01:09 AM
Hair of the Dog is similar too.
I don't think I've ever heard that one. What album is it on?

NP: The Beatles- Polythene Pam

blue3 11-14-2005 01:12 AM

Hair of the Dog by Nazareth..

Leper 11-14-2005 01:44 AM
Hair of the Dog by Nazareth..
Oh ya, heheh, silly me. Sorry, I had a brain cramp there.

blue3 11-14-2005 01:50 AM

Haha, it's alright.

I got a Lennon poster today =)

clown_phobia 11-14-2005 01:53 AM

What's it like?

I'm fairly certain Lennon wrote Imagine. At the very least, he is certainly credited with writing it on the album.

blue3 11-14-2005 01:57 AM

It's cool. I can't find a picture of it on the internet.. It was a guitar one magazine that came with a bunch of dead guitarists posters. The Jerry Garcia one was scary though.

Leper 11-14-2005 02:22 PM

All I gots is my Let It Be poster that my sister got me for my birthday. It keeps falling down though. Maybe it's a sign..

El_Goodo 11-14-2005 05:18 PM

I bought the First Anthology! It's pretty cool, I like the alternate Eight Days A Week beginning, and I love Johns vocals on Mr. Moonlight

TheShaneOMac 11-14-2005 05:23 PM

I can sing if you guys need a singer.

blue3 11-14-2005 05:41 PM

Cool. What's the difference on Eight Days A Week?
All I gots is my Let It Be poster that my sister got me for my birthday. It keeps falling down though. Maybe it's a sign..
What sign. Let it Be looks cool. I have Abbey Road though.

Spinal Pap 11-14-2005 05:52 PM

Hello everyone.

I don't think I've ever posted in here, I'm a huge Beatles fan though. My parents are completely obsessed so I've liked them since I was little. The only album I actually own is 1, but my dad has just about every cd ever released by them, so I never really saw the need to buy any others. My dad also has all of their American releases and All Things Must Pass on Vinyl, so hopefully I'll get those someday. Sorry for the extreme elaboration on my(or my parents) collection, just thought I'd tell everyone.

I've got that poster too.

blue3 11-14-2005 06:12 PM

That last one is really cool.

magicbus 11-14-2005 06:17 PM
That last one is really cool.
That's actually the only one I have up now. The other three are for my dorm room.

Jacaran 11-14-2005 06:19 PM

The only Beatle post I have is one with them from Sgt. Peppers but its one of those ones with all the little pictures that make up the big picture (if that made sense?) its pretty neat, then I have a John Lennon one.

I like the Let it Be one, I just like that album cover.

Leper 11-15-2005 12:39 AM

Speaking of Let it Be, I don't think that album gets enough credit. I've been listening to it a lot recently and most of it is fabulous.

NP: The Beatles- Dig a Pony

Seafroggys 11-15-2005 01:01 AM

Yeah Let it Be...Naked (its been years since I heard the original) is a truly great album. Two of Us, DOn't Let Me Down, I Me Mine, I've Got a Feeling, and Dig a Pony all kick lots of ***. And of course Let it Be as well.

When Paul did I've Got a Feeling at the show, he kicked *** on it. I love that song.

Speaking of which, I convinced my guitarist in my alternative band to cover I Should Have Known Better, and he actually really likes the song. We want to record it pretty soon, so I can show you some spiffy audio and such.

Looking forward to hearing it:thumb:

EDIT: Changing the topic, is it just me, or does the beat in "You Won't See Me" get slower as the song progresses?

Leper 11-15-2005 01:45 AM
The solos and such? I gave up on playing those, but I can play it on bass, which is my greatest achievement on that instrument

EDIT: We must do a cover of it

Bass- Me
Guitar- Magicbus
Drums-
Vocals-
Recording Software-
If you guys are serious about this I would love to sing on it. I've been told I have a good voice so ya.
