how come that when ozzy played with the band , Sabbath was not thrash like you know ?, dont get me wrong, they were great with ozzy,
but i heard some stuff without ozzy and it was really thrasher metal, how come they changed their style of metal when ozzy came ?

I guess it all depended on the band members at the time.

For instance, when Cozy Powell was with them, he was known for being quite a fast drummer which is why they did quite a few faster songs with him.

It was opnly a matter of time before some one found it absolutely nessacery to compare Zep to Sabbath. It really gets on my **** when people do that. They came from the same era,and played hard rock but thats where the similarities end.Black Sabbath, theyre "debut" if you like is so different from Communication breakdown.To show you how different they are listen to these songs Hows this for similarity

Paranoid - Livin' Lovin Maid
Black Sabbath - Gallows Pole
Sabbath Bloody Sabbath - Trampled Underfoot

You get the idea, there are one or two songs that sound similar, but its not fair to compare 'em. Both equally great in their own ways.

Although you have to admit zeppelin has much more talent. And on the topic of 70's hard rock does anyone listen to uriah heep? I just downloaded Gypsy its bloody awesome.

I don't think Paranoid sounds anything like Livin Lovin Maid or that Sabbath Bloody Sabbath sounds like Trampled Underfoot. I cant judge the other two cos i havnt heard em.

Paranoid sounds like Dazed and Confused, well...they both have a similar riff at one point.

I'm thinking about doing a FA on Sabbath soon...I'm not sure whether to just cover the Ozz years or do their entire career.

I suggest entire career. The FA's are usually there to inform people of the overall band, so doing only Ozzy would take away from it.

Doing the entire career will allow you to tell the story of what happened, etc

I'd be interested in learning why Ozzy stopped singing for Sabbath.

You could do like on teh story of dvds/videos, do part 1 ozzy (maybe early dio) then part 2 post ozzy.
