Beastie Boys- Hello Nasty

and right now I'm listening to Do Make Say Think
My Hello Nasty album was stolen.

It's their best record, too. Why couldn't they have stolen one of their crappier albums.

YDload 05-12-2005 11:11 PM
Their new stuff is a bit questionable though, from what I've heard.
well to be honest the only song i've heard that i really like is "i've been gone a long time" but it's pretty good. everyone else who tried to combine punk and metal is pretty crappy at it but that song works.

Bandaid 05-13-2005 01:50 AM
They can't possibly be the first ones. I can't think of any others though.
There's a band who were briefly succesful, and moderately so now, here in Australia called Jebediah, named after Jebediah Simpson

Smackers 05-13-2005 04:46 AM

I've always thought Check Your Head was the best.

Anyways, been listening to Rocket from the Crypt and Drive Like Jehu alot. Hot Snakes too. Oh and The Evens. Some classical, Steven Reich and Philip Glass, to balance things out.

Iai 05-13-2005 05:14 PM

I say Paul's Boutique.

trev913 05-13-2005 05:52 PM

Right now, I've got a burnt CD in my CD player, and Kenny Wayne Shepherd's "Ledbetter Heights" sitting next to me. As for something I've been solidily listening to, I'd say either

Muse - Origin of Symmetry
Pantera - The Great Southern Trendkill

Though, Bach has lately graced my CD player, as well as Mozart. I also recently got my friend to hook me up with some Elgar and Tchaikovsky, as I'm thinking about getting into the Romantic epoch of classical music.

I'm listening to The Dismemberment Plan as well.
Life.
That's always good to hear.

br3ad_man 05-14-2005 01:12 AM

Wow, Nacho likes Converge.

br3ad_man 05-14-2005 01:54 AM

I didn't know that. Converge are the bomb anyway.

Happymeal 05-14-2005 08:34 AM

Today I'm listening to

Änglagård - Epilog
The Ponys - Laced with Romance
and some random Minus the Bear and Mew songs

Iai 05-14-2005 03:30 PM

Badmoon 05-14-2005 04:48 PM

Calexico - Convict Pool

Not a song that I don't love on here.

Robert Crumb 05-14-2005 04:49 PM

I vaguely remember a band named Evergreen Terrace but I couldn't tell you what kind of music they played. Don't think I ever listened to 'em.

I'm digging Brazil today. The whole country. And The Further Adventures of Lord Quas. Album of the year so far.
That's the new Madlib project, right? What's it like?
Yep. It's enjoyably spastic, the kind of album I like to listen to on headphones while I go for a walk. I'm thinking a review is in order.
