Any of you guys like RAMBO?
|
I used to listen to them, but I honestly haven't heard a song by them in like two years. One of the bands I forgot to redownload when my old computer died.
|
I just ralize they dont even belong in her, haha. I still need to download some more stuff from them, great band.
|
Yeah, crossover. But they're great. I was gonna go to their last show with an ex, but then she was like, lolz nevermind my dad won't let me, and she was my ride. :(
|
haha, i bet they are awesome live. Another band I love in the same vein is Limp Wrist
|
Eh, I wouldn't really put RAMBO and Limp Wrist in the same vein, but both are freaking awesome.
One time I saw RAMBO there was a kid in a wheelchair in the pit hitting people with a skateboard. There shows were intense: http://youtube.com/watch?v=VO03gfwoqbE Also, my buddy Johny's old band This Bites used to play shows with them. If you like Limp Wrist, check out Los Crudos. |
Yeah, I love Los Crudos...they share members, right?
|
Singer. That guy has one of the best hardcore voices I've heard.
More people should imitate that style rather than tough guy trash. |
Carpathian has the best hardcore vocals I've heard.

YOu heard the new song? He sounds different, more raspy. |
RAMBO is good. Tragedy is better, though.

Unearth is some good shit.
Great crushing melodic riffs and one badass drummer. |
Unearth is good stuff.
|
Unearth's too mechanical in their approach and their music's a bit too obtuse for me to say i LIKE them. i tolerate them.
|
Unearth is horrible.
|
I don't like The Oncoming Storm, but their other ones are good.
|
Zombie Autopilot son, y'all betta represent!
The most recent Unearth sorta bored me after a week though. I remember listening to it on the way to band practice after school last year cause our guitarist was my ride, and it triggered me to burn him a bunch of melodeath because I got sick of the melodeath clone core bands. |
that one's ok, and and opener is alright (the great dividers i think).
But Stings of Conscience is a fine example of what melodic metalcore should be like-imaginative riffs and songwriting that feels like it has direction (instead of the cliche'd verse-chorus-verse-chorus-breakdown formula that way too many bands use), great dynamics, lots of variation, well-executed breakdowns etc. III: In the Eyes of Fire basically left most of their -core behind and picked up some thrashy and groove influences while still keeping their breakdowns in place. My main complaint about that album is that most of the breakdowns are almost exactly the same, unlike on stings of conscience, where the breakdowns never felt the same on any of the tracks. There are also like 3 songs on the album that are so bad I can't bear to listen to, but the rest are pretty sah-weet. |
Actually, Stings Of Conscience seems terribly written to me, even if I love the album.
Bands like Opeth and From Graves Of Valor know how to write "unsctructured" but a lot of bands don't seem to. I don't like the new one. =/ |
I'm a DEP fanboy so yeah...
Why don't you like them, Matt?
:chug: |
