Again, misconception if you think bass isn't complicated. If you think that, you're not a very good bass player and you definitely aren't going to learn much. Bass is no less complicated than guitar, both take practice and work.

You could say the same about guitar. Anyone can strum a few chords. With bass, anyone can play the three root notes of a three chord punk song. But it's not as easy becoming good at both instruments.

Had a gig last night, played brilliantly, the punk who got us the gig loved us and wants us to play again. Lost my mp3 player, ended up the DJ has it so i have to meet him to get it. Bought myself Desmond Dekker and DKM Dvds. Good times.

I just meant that it's not as complicated to play; 1 string at a time instead of 6. Bass however, is just as complicated (if not more) to play creatively and effectively. I agree with you.
