He called you a bastard Nick, you should ban him again for disrespecting the mods.
He called you a bastard Nick, you should ban him again for disrespecting the mods.
Correction, I said some bastard probably from the Political Forum.

Brain Toad 11-26-2005 05:52 PM
What did I post that was so horrendous that you felt it needed a week's ban?
Your posts were declining in quality and annoying a lot of users.

coheneran 11-26-2005 05:54 PM

Geez. A "Shut up you're annoying the users" would have been much nicer. The reason I was given was rather hurtful and phrased like a petty excuse.

Because I banned skindmark steve at the same time as you, I recycled the general banning reason that applied to both of you.

Don't worry about it, just learn from it. I didn't really notice anything, so it couldn't have been too bad...

Excursions 11-26-2005 05:59 PM

Look at the confession thread. That is why you were pretty much banned.

coheneran 11-26-2005 06:04 PM

Because I made a bad sexual innuendo? Or because I asked how many stars one needs to rep?

Anxious 11-26-2005 06:14 PM

Err.

coheneran 11-26-2005 06:18 PM

There's a movie on with Eric Idle (I think that's his name) and a fat guy who robbed some Chinamen and are hiding out in a convent.

Anxious 11-26-2005 06:18 PM

Cool, Eric Idle is funny. Whats it called?

coheneran 11-26-2005 06:27 PM

I'm not sure. Oh, the adverts just came on. It's Nuns On The Run.

I think my computer has just been infected by a virus. My stress level is very high.

ThisUserIsAPipebomb 11-26-2005 06:48 PM

I'm out. Talk to you punX tommorow.

gastery6 11-26-2005 07:18 PM
Anyone have any plan tonight
I was thinking of maybe tagging up, but it is deadly cold out tonight. I will stay in and try and work out this ShoutCast thing. Spread the message via the interweb.

_JR 11-26-2005 07:37 PM

_JR 11-26-2005 07:48 PM

Unless you have a really fast connection (as in T1) or going to be spreading at 12 kbps bitrate, you're going to be spreading your message to about 8 people before you start buffering.

Apart from 'spreading' and 'buffering' (a friend explained buffering to me a couple of weeks ago) I have no idea what you just said. But my connection is supremo fast.

Running an internet radio station takes a lot of bandwidth. My connection is decent and once about 8 people connected to my station it started to buffer and crap out.

coheneran 11-26-2005 08:17 PM

I am going through the instructions on the site step by step. I will not take any shortcuts, because they may result in something booboo.

Brain Toad 11-26-2005 08:25 PM

Woo

I found out Operation: Cliff Clavin has a myspace and they have 3 new songs on it from their upcoming split with the Max Levine Ensemble

coheneran 11-26-2005 08:45 PM

I am in serious poopy. They should make a simpler version of this shoucasty thingy.

It's not simple. It took me a while to understand it, then I had to teach all the people who wanted to be DJs on our station. Being a DJ part is easier then the server part though.

I don't really like their vocals... Ghost Mice's either. His voice is just kinda... eurgh.

I like their vocals, but I can see why they would be disliked.

Defiance, Ohio is the best folk punk band. There was a song where I remember hearing an electric guitar, I think. I was 100% sure it was there.
EDIT: It's This Time This Year.

Anarcho Poser 11-26-2005 09:52 PM

The best folk punk song ever is Someday I'm Gunna Leave by A Rebel's Glory.

I was just listening to Defiance, Ohio for the first time in months, and I also came to the conclusion that they are by far my favorite folk punk band.

So did I miss anything interesting whilst being gone for 5 days?

Liebensaft 11-26-2005 10:52 PM

Nick died and was replaced by a bi-curious robot. No one's noticed.

Rise Me Up 11-26-2005 10:59 PM

You guys heard Nanuchka? It's Yula from World/Inferno's band. They're good as hell. You can listen to four whole songs here:

Slightly gay ones are cheaper. Do you mind?
