the low metal wound strings are ace for slap, the high plastic strings rule for smooth solos

LewsTherin 02-01-2005 05:27 PM

hey, what do yall think of steinberger basses (the headless, nearly bodyless ones)?
i was lookin at em, i wanna get a 5er one.

peeted 02-01-2005 05:29 PM

there hard to play siting down, you cant realy just rest it on your knee

thelowsoundofbass 02-01-2005 05:29 PM
Trouble with the uploading and that it won't play.
try saving it as a wav file, those are easyer to play. also don't use the built in player in a recording program they suck. i would reccomend saving the file, then playing it in something like winamp. also never record as a mp3 file, you don't get as good of quality and its harder to work with. do everything as a wav file then when you are happy with the finished/pollished product save and convert to mp3 format. hope that helped.

they are really good for rocking out on because they are really light, but make sure that you have a good amp because since there isn't much body the tone can lack and you get most of it from the pickups. so if you have a massive head on you amp that has a good eq it really helps.

feeling better LR?
A little. A slept all day (completely unusual for me... I'm the type of person who goes to work regardless of whether I'm sick or not)... I think I broke the fever... I woke up completely soaked a couple of times. I just went downstairs to eat. Got down some Bannana pudding... then I tried fruit cocktail... that didn't go down real easy. So then I ate some ice cream.

It's pretty nasty in the back of my throat. I let my brother see yesterday and he was like "wow.... wow.... **** HEATHER!!! I can't believe you can still breathe!!!"

It doesn't hurt so bad to swallow now. Just a little discomfort. But I still can't swallow anything more than liquid.

If I wasn't contagious, I would have gone to work today. Although I don't know how that would have worked out.. considering I obviously have to talk alot in order to teach.... and while I'm a bit better at talking... it still sounds like I have golf balls in my throat. I will be going to work tomorrow.. so that should be fun.

I feel guilty when I don't go to work. I mean... we are short guitar and bass teachers as it is... There was no one to sub for me yesterday, and I don't think anyone subbed for me today.
