For rhyme and for rapture, got niggaz resigning, now master my style? Never! I put the ****ing buck in the wild kid, I'mterror Razor sharp, I sever the head from the shoulders, I'm better than my compeda, you mean competitor, whadeva tbh |
visualizin the realism my life in actuality **** who's the baddest a person's status depends on salary, and my mentality is, money orientated, i'm destined to live the dream for all my peeps who never made it, cuz yeah, we were beginners in the hood as five percenters but somethin must of got in us cuz all of us turned to sinners now some, restin in peace and some are sittin in san quentin others such as myself are trying to carry on tradition, keepin the
schwepervesence street ghetto essence inside us cuz it provides us with the proper insight to guide us even though, we know somehow we all gotta go but as long as we leavin thievin we'll be leavin with some kind of dough so, and to that day we expire and turn to vapors me and my capers-ll be somewhere stackin plenty papers keepin it real, packin steel, gettin high cause life's a bitch and then you die |
I'm deep down in the back streets - in the heart of Medina About to set off something more deep than a misdemeanor Under the subway, waiting for the train to make noise So I can blast a nigga and his boys - for what? He pushed up on the block and made the dope sales drop Like the crashin of Dow Jones stock I had to connect to cross seals, to catch more mil's Than ho-bitches got birth control pills I'm in the park, settin up a deal over blunt fire Bum niggaz sleepin on the bench, they had em wired Peeped my convo, the address of my condo And how I changed a nigga name to John Doe

and yeah, the announcement, whatever man seems cool. not really any threads on it right now, so maybe get the ball rolling ... |
I've been reading a lot of Emily Dickinson lately. Crazy, crazy stuff. But really thought provoking if a little obscure.
|
emily dickinson was terrible but ok
|
she wasn't terrible. most of the things she wrote were similar, but she wrote alot of good stuff. and i wouldn't really describe her as crazy.
i've been reading john donne. he's pretty good for a metaphysical and that... |
Why do you think she is terrible? Isn't she considered one of the best American poets ever? Most of her good stuff she wrote in two years, which was like over 300 poems. They're pretty haunting considering they were published after she died when it was undisclosed whether she really wanted them published. Also the fact that she was a hermit and her material never deviates to her historical context (American Civil War) makes her work timeless. She separates the heaviness from darkness, that's my thoughts anyway.
Have to read some Poe and Baudelaire. I'm familiar with Poe but I don't know a thing on Baudelaire except he was one of those 'decadent' fellows like the main characters in Picture of Dorian Gray. |
Hey you guys im new to these Forums and I really want everyone to hear our music...we are not catagorized as anything because we dont want to be limited but I really want everyone to tell us want they think we REALLY need feedback

I don't like obscure, foreign-sounding band names!
|
I will listen when you learn to punctuate!
|
I just read one of many translations of Baudelaire's 'To the Reader'. What a charming young fellow.

I can punctuate AND my band isn't foreign sounding!
+rep and general appreciation for anyone who checks out my thread "vocalist question" and supplies help :) ~~ |

Baudelaire is lol tbh and I've already been to that thread. And I can't get to the festival because I'm working, sorry man. Good luck and stuff though. |
Page doesn't exist.
|
Silly Mx is putting gaps in the links.
Not sure why. Just google 'Baudelaire' 'drunk' and 'merry' and it should come up. |
I've read his poem 'Get Drunk'. Quite amusing.
Some other beer poetry can be found here http://www.brookstonbeerbulletin.com/beer-poetry |
Yeah. Bukowski's got loads as well.
"Play the Piano Drunk Like a Percussion Instrument Until the Fingers Begin to Bleed a Bit" is one of my favourite phrases for some reason. Anyone read the Third Policeman? I'm re-reading it now, I love the flippant Irish surrealism of it. |
Get drunk!
Stay drunk! On beer, virtue, poetry, whatever!” Masterful. |
