It must be a special Australian-only announcment
Or you're all blind :-P EDIT: Beaten by teh Liberi |
:( I'm neither Australian, nor am I blind. Although I should be wearing my glasses right now.
Maybe I'm stupid, but I don't see much of a difference between Comm Thread conversation and spam. |

I think they mean those "sup thread" type posts. |

Oh. I never use those anyway, so I think I'm set. But I'm still in a bad position. I'm tired as hell, it's 00:24, and I need to practice for two more hours. :( |
Practice what? Guitar?
|
Yes, guitar. I need to master the guitar parts for this song I'm doing for the current comp ASAP, plus I'm in the mood to learn Opeth.
This is odd. I'm trying to learn these, but after all these years I don't actually know any songs by bands I listen to. I also can't neglect the stuff my teacher gives me either. |
I don't practice enough.
Usually with my teacher I forget to practice the stuff he gives me >_> Unless it's like... Maiden or something. |
I do too. I'll practice various odd stuff, forgetting he gave me a song and some pages of theory to work on. It's frustrating.
|
We don't really do theory. We do scales and stuff... but thats about it.
We mostly do improvising or learn a song. |
We've been doing a lot of improvising, by my teacher is a jazz guitarist and he's always teaching me more theory. I like that, since I plan to do music in college (or uni, if you will).
|
My teacher does Classical and Flamenco mainly. I think he listens to Classic Rock and that stuff though.
|
Mine does too. He does jazz and blues, but he also does a lot of classic rock.
But to this day I'm still confused as to why he owns two Jacksons. He doesn't play or even like anything remotely metal, even though he does know a lot about metal. |
We often do Iron Maiden and that stuff. The harmonies are fun to do. |
He leaves the fun stiff completely up to me. =/ That may explain why I like to play metal but actually know any metal songs.
|

My teacher also does mainly jazz & blues, but teaches me basically anything... from Jack Johnson to AC/DC to Dire Straits... He brings a new guitar to my lesson basically every week! He has so many... Les Pauls, Jacksons, Fenders, Shadows (I think thats it...) and a cool aluminium (I think) resonator that has a VERY bluesy tone... and he recently just put a pickup on it & it sounds good through his amp... |
Hey, I see the announcement now! Does that make me Australian? :-D
|
Hey, I see the announcement now! Does that make me Australian? :-D
You have to drink an extremely large can of Fosters first. Then you are Australian :-D |
Hey, I see the announcement now! Does that make me Australian? :-D
No. I can see it now, but it's not Christmas Eve yet. And I have no Fosters. :( |
That means you will never see the true meaning of the announcment. :-D
|
Is Fosters really Australian for beer?
And if it's not, what's Australian for beer? |
Is Fosters really Australian for beer?
No. lol
And if it's not, what's Australian for beer?
Beer. :p You people need to see some of our beer ads. I wonder if I can download them... |

We go there on New Year's every year... that means I'm going there soon :-D Aussie Fries + Queensland Chicken and Shrimp dinner = ohhhhhhh man  |
Apparently our beer ads are comprised of mock Australianisms.
Riva once recommended me some real "Aussie brew", but I'm underage, can't import, and don't remember the names. |
Ohhh I get it now.
It might depend on what area. I hope Jason didn't recommend XXXX. >:[ |
Actually, I think he did.
But I think us Americans have some damn fine immitation imported beer. |

Well Jason is a Queenslander. I'll cut him some slack. ;) Goon ftw |
Lawl, crazy croc hunters.
I can't take this anymore. A.Raids, enjoy your Australian piss. I'm going to bed. After I play Opeth for an hour or so. |
Soulseek question!
I have two separate music files, one for iTunes music and another for Soulseek music. I accidently merged the two files, but not like you think. The iTunes file is within the Soulseek, but they're still two separate files; my iTunes music didn't combine with my Soulseek music. Does anyone know how to separate the two files? Here's a pic. http://tinypic.com/izrwag.jpg Sorry to interrupt all this Down Under talk. |

I mean, you've probably thought of that, but I know nothing about Windows. |
