Maggot Dream 09-03-2004 04:22 PM

ahhh, I haven't been able to find any good Cream shirts, I've looked alot.

ANtreaper 09-03-2004 04:22 PM

A couple things.

1) How do you make an Avatar with various Pictures/CD Covers that flashes through them all?

2) Classic rock fans should look up and listen to some of:

The Band, CCR, Allman Brothers, BTO, Bad Company, Beatles, Dylan, Bob Seager, Boston, Buffalo Springfield, Doors, Clapton (Cream), George Harrison (particularly His songs.), Fleetwood Mac, Free, The dead, Heart, Jefferson Airplane, Tull, Joe Walsh, Kansas, Hendrix, Rush, Scorpions, Simon and Garfunkle :/, Steve Miller Band, The Who, The Zombies, Yes, Van Morrison, ZZ top.

to name a few. All great ****.

Maggot Dream 09-03-2004 04:24 PM

Are you talking about my avatar? Cause if you are, go to ledzeppelin.com and go to goodies.
I have a doors shirt that just has Jim Morrison sleeping on stage. And on the back it has the lyrics of strange days...well one verse.

People always ask me when i wear my zeppelin shirt "Do you like zeppeiln? or are you being a poser..."

and then it turns out they're are a bigger poser than me...
DOH+ I was gonna buy that shirt, but didn't yet. I also have the one DVG is probalby talking about. With the dates, and it says American Poet on the top. Makes for a great poster as well!

HendrixDoorsWhoZeppelin 09-03-2004 06:22 PM

Are there any places where one could get a good Hendrix/Doors/Zeppelin/Cream shirt for 15 bucks or less?

Paranoidd 09-03-2004 06:26 PM
Does anyone here smoke chronic?
Yeah, but only on days that end with a "Y".

jpj 09-03-2004 06:52 PM

i'd just like to know why a lot you think all freshman with rock t-shirts are posers?im a freshman and love classic rock, the yardbirds, cream, rush, zeppelin, queen, the who. on the first day of school i wore my zep tshirt and does that makes me poser?

Paranoidd 09-03-2004 06:56 PM

No. Wearing a shirt because you like the music is fine.

Wearing the shirt because its stylish to sport Zeppelin gear at this point in time makes one a poser.

jpj 09-03-2004 06:59 PM

today when i was in the lunch line the kid in front of me had th same zep shirt as me. I was so ****in pissed! He was a poser though cuz he didn't even know john bonham was dead

Paranoidd 09-03-2004 07:01 PM

I had someone try to tell me that Bonham was dead before they recorded Houses of Holy, and his son (who was about 13 at that time) did the drumming on it.

Riiiiiiight.

jpj 09-03-2004 07:05 PM

OMG OMG OMG DOUBLE TWINZ

magicbus 09-03-2004 07:34 PM

First off, every freshmen who wears classic rock shirts in my school has yet to prove to me they are a true fan, so that's why I say "stupid freshmen", or something similar, when I'm refering to the poser kids. SECOND off, JC Penny's is a fine place for shirts, because the "posers" don't know about the shirts there, and Pennys has different rock shirts than Hot Topic (where all the kids go). LASTLY! I enjoy the chronic, and will be smoking tomorrow before the Floyd tribute show.

This forum moves TOO fast.

Paranoidd 09-03-2004 07:45 PM

I'll be smoking in....(checks watch)....22 minutes.

magicbus 09-03-2004 07:46 PM

Cool. I don't have any but I will tomorrow. After the show, we're renting movies. Besides The Wall, any suggestions?

No Jim does a little act with the band on unknown soldier when the drum role starts he stands in the middle of stage then Robby points his guitar at him and looks like he shot him when it ends he falls to the stage pauses and starts to sing again. Thought you should know :smoke:

themightyquinn23 09-03-2004 07:57 PM

I have that shirt. I also have the Rolling Stone 1972 tour shirt(which is worn by posers everywhere I have recently found out.

Well, if you want floyd related, then you have to do Live @ Pompeii as well.

Its more of a concert type of thing, you just watch them play the songs with snippets of interviews here and there. But they rock (it's floyd, they always rock).

If you just want a good, all around movie, I say Boondock Saints.

Ever seen The floyd live in pompeii. Excellent performance (from 71' I think) which features echoes, saucerful of..., careful with that axe eugene, and many others. The video also includes some footage of the band in the studio working on DSOTM. It is a true classic, the ancient roman ampetheatre is aperfect environment for this era floyd. Check it. And I strongly urge you to burn a chronic blunt beforehand.

Badmoon 09-03-2004 08:13 PM

I bought

The Grateful Dead - Dick's Picks 23

3 discs, and one fantastic live album.

johnther 09-03-2004 08:16 PM

Led Zeppelin's Presence album is a trip.
Pink Floyd - Shine on all parts are a trip

magicbus 09-03-2004 08:33 PM

Yea I've been looking for the VHS of Pompeii everywhere, because I heard the DVD was massacred in the editing process. So far I've only found the DVD. I might have to resort to Amazon.
