I'm getting the whole thing tomorrow, so I'll post what I think of those two songs then. In the meantime, everyone download Razor - The Marshall Arts. A scream to rival that scream (Open Face Surgery, for all you slow people) and an awesome thrash instrumental after that with some hyperballistic riffing and drumming in the middle.
|
Yeah, that's a killer song.
NP: Venom - Black Metal |
I have Violent Restitution. Unfortunately, not all the songs are as good (as Marshall Arts). There are a few standouts and the rest just sound the same. Still a good album though.

Marshall arts... that song ****ing rocks!! The first time I heard the intro scream I was ****tin my pants... now i try and scream along!

plain and simple english: Thrash Metal = Amazing ****
my favorite bands are thrash man metallica, megadeth, slayer, anthrax, i mean the list goes on |
I also love Mercyful Fate. I don't know if you consider them thrash or not but...
Yep, it is in deed Mr Bendix-Perterson, aka King Diamond. :D. Most of their stuff I would label power metal, Melissa being the best of all, of course. All those Sodom albums are ****ing classic, you'll love them. ;) As for Sepultura, apart from "from the past comes the storms" (which is my favourite thrash song of all time,) i *think* Morbid visions and Bestial Devestation are beating Schizophrenia, atleast at the present time. There's just something totally unique about both of them that they shed in favor of a more safe thrash sound. The guitar tone totally annihilates, one of the rawest this side of black metal, but not so raw as to be sand paper to ear drum. |
Anyways I got the first 4 tracks of Schizophrenia to evaluate it, sounds awesome. From The Past Comes The Storms is fu.cking crazy deathrash! I love it! I hadbanged so hard I got a head rush and had to sit down
Haha, sometimes it's like a natural high . |
I just oredered Sodom - Persecution Mania, Obbsessed by Cruelty and In the Sign Evil in one big package

hell awaits should be in every persons top slayer songs.

Handling the lead vocals for EXODUS during the MEGADETH trek and the rescheduled South American dates will be SKINLAB singer Steev Esquivel. Megadeth and Exodus on the same bill!!! :( i wana see. |
CreepingBlack:
Hell Awaits, Criminally Insane, South of Heaven, Angel of Death, and Raining Blood. :thumb: |
Just got Schizophrenia and Persecution Mania. Post my thoughts later.
EDIT: My god, I'm so glad I got thos instead of the Dying Fetus I was thinking of getting instead. Sodom: Persecution Mania is pure out-and-out harsh, crazy, nazi thrash. It's even better than Agent Orange. For one thing, the vocals are better. And also it has an awesome cover (Iron Fist) instead of a lousy cover (Don't Walk Away.) Sepul: Killer. I don't know if it's better than BtR (repeated listens will determine this) but holy crap. And on the strength of Storms and Inquisition Symphony, I'd say it is a little better. |
kool dude. i just ordered the best - vader cant wait for it to get to me
i doubt you will be disappointed with schzophrenia its great i cant say about sodom becayse i dont own that album but if its to go by anything else they have done its more then likely going to be amazing |
For me it is still a toss up for Schizophrenia and Beneath the Remains, both are top notch thrash albums, I think I may lean torward BtR a bit more though
My Sodom cd's aren't here yet ...............*getting impatient* |
I got approval from both my mom and dad for going to the Jagmeister Music Tour on the 17th of December. My cousin said he's willing to go with me, and so that makes it even better, because he's seen Slayer from backstage! O_O; lol...yeah I'm just excited.
I need to get my mom to order the tickets though ._. However, We'll be in the middle section of the ampitheater, which is a good spot and MUCH better than my spot at Ozzfest. I can't wait to see Slayer :D |
i hella wanna go see Megadeth when they come around here
|
Have Kreator or Testament's new albums come out yet?
Also, anybody have the new Metal Church cd? Any good? |
Kreator's is coming out next year, I believe.
And Solstice still owns Sepultura. |
Have Kreator or Testament's new albums come out yet?
Also, anybody have the new Metal Church cd? Any good?
It is EXCELLENT. I've always been a big metal church fan, i have all of their albums, bar Masterpeace, and truth to tell, Weight of the world doesn't dissapoint at all. Excellent Heavy ****ING Metal to be found right the way through. Vanderhoof still has it, and that special something that made wayne and Howe **** fine vocalists, well the new fella has it. His style is similar to the two before him but his actual voice is a little rougher. A very good replacement. Yeah sound wise, it's just like hanging in the balance, not much of the frenetic almost-thrash stuff they had on the first two, but all the heaviness and melody that has made them such a great band. Hehe, anyway, ill stop there before you fall asleep. Go and pick it up, it's definitely one of my top 3 albums of the year; if you like any of their previous albums, you'll like it too. ;) |
