I bet your parents/roomates/whoever you live with think your crazy
Well my mom keeps moaning and wailing because she thinks I'm going to poke out my eye on one of the coathanger ends. Everyone else just treated me with the same smug indifference I'm used to. |

I still need to work on being able to play it by ear. I can't bend notes well at all though, do you have any strategies on that? I want some more harmonicas in different keys, all I have is a G. I've mastered vibrato though:cool: I have a website that says what key every Dylan harmonica part is in. If anyone's interested, I'll find the link. |
one nation under a groove is great, if simply for the live version of maggot brain at the end
A year ago I took One Nation Under a Groove and Maggot Brain out of my dad's collection listined to it and hated it....a few days later I traded both of them in to get an album. I hate myself for it. :(
stfu
Fuck off. :)

That might help if you don't Bring it on Home by LZ uses good bendage |
You and your crazy trombone.
How long has your user title said Who Convert? I just noticed it.
I bet she's quite the tromboner. |

Bending is really just a case of pulling in too hard on one of the lower notes Do you know what it is or what it sounds like? That might help if you don't Bring it on Home by LZ uses good bendage
Here's the link- http://www.dylanchords.com/harp/harpkeys.htm Very useful methinks. Doesn't tab the songs out for you, but it says what key every single songs are in. I think I just need more practice bending, because right now my bending attempts sound terrible. |
It is at the same time a great exercise in Dylan acronyms...
I agree Looks quite helpful thickasabrick- try www.harmonicacountry.com trombonist I think this n00b is getting away from a flamin' just because it appears they know famous people Virginiaprograsser- Advertising is illegal on these forums, but it appers that you have a whole lot of convesation that you could contribute, if you would do that instead of advertize, we would be grateful Some of us actulally like bluegrass  |

I like how they have backing tracks too. I learned Bad Moon Rising from that site, I play that song a lot, fun song to play in G. Random thought of the day: Dan Akroyd is really good on harmonica. I listened to The Blues Brothers Soundtrack this morning. Great stuff. Anyone else think Donovon is awesome? np- Hurdy Gurdy Man |
^I only have Beat Cafe but I love him sorta hard to find stuff by him anywhere I think I had to order mine from Ear Candy (Local Shop).
|
- I found a cheap harmonica that I'm going to practice on until I buy a better one.
- I like All Things Must Pass, again. - One Nation Under A Groove is pretty sweet. It's probably my favorite Funkadelic album. - How about less spam, eh? NP: George Harrison - Beware of Darkness |

I just looked that up on Amazon. Recent album. It sounds interesting from the reviews. Is it good? I have Sunshine Superman which somebody uploaded a long time ago. It's very good. |

I have Sunshine Superman which somebody uploaded a long time ago. It's very good.
Its great album took awhile to grow on me, I'll upload it tonight maybe if I have time, stupid Biology. |
I might be able to upload Sunshine Superman tomorrow if you're interested. Tomorrow is Halloween though, so you may have to wait a few days.

Sunshine Superman is cool, I have it. Donovan is just cool all around.

Is Talking Heads considered classic rock? I've heard them played on classic rock stations. They are my second favorite band, and I wonder if talking about them in this thread would be appropriate.

We often discuss non-classic rock topics in here, but I'd have to say I know basically nothing about that band. |
This Alligator>China Cat Sunflower>The Eleven>Alligator>Caution jam is great on DP 22.

Hey fuck you for managing to get a decent Bob Dylan thread :) |

Not classic rock, but I don't think people will mind of you talk about them. Eight Miles High likes them a lot. My mom's a big fan of theirs too, but I've never listened to them. I should give them a listen. |
Check out their live album Stop Making Sense. Very good starting place. Not the Greatest Hits. Ick.

I think my mom owns that on record. Too bad our record players broken. |
Can you use torrents? Most torrent sites have it for download.

I was always under the impression that Remain In Light WAS their "best-of" album. |
Torrents = So confusing I tried to get some Bootleg Jane's Addiction from it and lets just say its 2 hours I want back from my life. And 1 GB's from my hard-drive.

I think Alligator is a great song. I also think that Anthem of the Sun as a whole is a little underrated. Anyone agree? PS nice work absolutley worshiping, whoring and slaving to The Who this week
Hey fuck you for managing to get a decent Bob Dylan thread :)
... |

I'm not to good with complex computer stuff like that, so I don't mess around with it. I checked, and my mom has that album and 3 other albums, True Stories, Speaking in Tongues, and Little Creatures. She might have more, but I'm too lazy to spend more time looking. Edit- I think Anthem of the Sun is really underrated. Good album if you ask me. Not their best, but most people in here don't seem to like it which is somewhat surprising. |
I was always under the impression that Remain In Light WAS their "best-of" album.
I'm not sure if you are making a joke or not. It is highly regarded as their best album. But no, it is not a compilation. |
