everyone needs to try opiates at least once in life, because if you don't you're really missing the best feeling available in life. no marriage, sex, or blowjob can really surpass the feeling of being high

smoking oxy is really better than snorting i've noticed. if you're with a friend you can smoke a 30 in like 15 minutes and you just talk and communicate. it is KIND of a waste, but it beats railing it and missing out on the tenders moments of conversation

Not for everyone, no. But being high is an objectively great feeling - you're not out of control or hallucinating - you have an overwhelming feeling of comfort, satisfaction, and well being.

No, I don't talk about how miserable and depressing my [I]life[/I] is, I talk about (rarely, I might add) how depressed and miserable [I]I[/I] am. None of my depression is linked to drug use - I've been depressed since I was 13 or 14, and in my early stages of depression throughout high school I wasn't doing any drugs. I find it stupid to completely abstain from drug use if you can maintain recreational usage, which a lot can't.

You guys drink 3-4 times a week, I do opiates a few times a month. I don't smoke weed or drink alcohol even.

this is the thing though, I partly agree with you.

just against advocating it for each and every person, it has been the downfall of many to think they can live like Keith Richards. if you can acknowledge this, claiming everyone needs to try opiates at least once in life seems a wee bit ridiculous. considering your reasoning is based upon mind-reading as well, it just doesn't wash. i've had amazing feelings on drugs, and i've had amazing feelings off drugs as well. opiates sound like the ultimate, until people start talking about withdrawals and physiological dependence. this sounds like something i'd never want to go through

I'm not advocating the daily usage of opiates, I'm just saying everyone should at least try them once. Everyone should have sex once, everyone should do a lot of things they're afraid to do once. Anti-drug commercials has conditioned everyone into believing that once you take that pill or shoot dope you'll be living on the street as an addict for the rest of your life. It's not true. Physiological dependency happens through anything you habitually do that you enjoy, it's just that opiates are so awesome why the fuck wouldn't you wanna do them more?
