HORSE The Band will always be FTW. I finally got my friends to like them after about a year of constantly playing it for them. Yay me.

It's Sept5, official the first day of school. Damn.

Janeway 09-04-2006 11:26 PM

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGH.

I read all of Kurt Vonnegut's Slaughterhouse Five today. It took me 8 friggen hours because I kept getting distracted and I had to write a log as I read.
Now I'm done, and I feel no elation.

The book just kind of scared me. I interpreted it in the end that Billy was just driven crazy from the horror of Dresden, and the whole thing Tralfamadorians and time travel was just derived from a combination of Kilgore's novels and his need to escape from his past experiences.

Still, it made me question death, and I don't like that. In a way, it would be good to never die, only to relive your life an infinite number of times. But that's assuming that you aren't concious of it. Billy knew he was going to be abducted by the Tralfamadorians. Assuming that he didn't make that up in his head, he had to have remembered it from living it before. I wouldn't like to be concious of what I'm going to face if I can't change it.
And you can't change it, because the entire message of the novel was that time doesn't change anything. I think. I'm confused still.

And I need to get to bed.

Win A Rabbit 09-05-2006 12:38 AM

My friend goes to college tomorrow. I'm going to apply for a job at a liquor store. There's 3 in my town. One of them I know is hiring, and I know that the other 2 had "help wanted" signs up less than a month ago.

Do you think I should bring a resume? Or just ask if they have an application form? There can't be too many requirements to work at a liquor store, can there?

Futuro 09-05-2006 12:40 AM

Might need to be 21. Although im not sure on that one.

EDIT: Unless your in canada.

Win A Rabbit 09-05-2006 12:41 AM

stevensonmat2 09-05-2006 12:52 AM

Is it a dangerous job in canada? Around here you run the risk of being held up/

The crime in my town is like "Oh no. Someone graffiti-ed over the graffiti on the skate park again." There hasn't been a robbery since I've lived here (9 years).

Pillow covers? Who are we trying to fool? Let's just bring our official KKK suits. :thumb:

Apparently I'm real good at cheering up my friend who's all super sad and everything. I want to ask her to come camping with me and my friends in 3 weeks, but I don't want her to get the wrong idea. (She's got a boyfriend who I don't really like, but he's good to her, which is a good thing)

Corkofski 09-05-2006 01:35 AM
I'd take mewithoutYou over them any day. I think they're christian. Or Relient K. Oh well. The whole "Christian ______ band" classification is stupid. Just like "vegan bands". Some people like the band that much more just because they share common beliefs.
I HATE Relient K. You'd listen to them over Underoath?

Aaron 09-05-2006 06:20 AM

hi berk, im talking to you twice

Janeway 09-05-2006 09:58 AM

I can NOT believe I made my log 5 pages long.

Everybody elses was absolute crap. Nobody read the books, everybody spark noted it. I was one of the three who read all of them. What the fuck?
Every time I do work, I'm always the only one to do it.

I microwaved a hot dog and it exploded.
