So, my Grandma went to the hospital last night after she was at my house because she wasn't feeling well. And the doctor said she had 2 mild strokes. She's still in the hospital and my aunts keep calling our house.

Mute Print 12-26-2005 01:25 PM

What ever happened to the 2005 Pop-Punk Awards? Kif hasn't been around in forever, so they've basically been put on hold, I guess.

I just got news from my mom that she will be in the hospital for another 3 or 4 days. They want to do tests on her. My mom also asked if I would look after their dog since my papa will be with my grandma in the hospital. I hate hospitals, so the dog can be an excuse not to go.

I've gone through 3 deaths and my dad being stuck in a hospital for 2.5 months. My papa also just got out of the hospital with cancer.

poprocks&coke 12-26-2005 01:34 PM

Mmmkay, what's the best way of making lots of money without having to sell my guitar and/or (vital) organs?

That sucks, man.

Both my grandpas died on the same day in 2001. Probably the worst day in my life. My aunt died later that year, and my grandma died in 2003, so I know what it's like.

Hopefully evewrything turns out okay for you.

First option sounds good. :naughty:

Getting a job at my age is very very hard. They find out I'm 15 and they're like 'No thanks' straight away.

Firecracker 12-26-2005 01:41 PM

Lily, is there a Co-Op near you?
Because they're great (well my shop anyway) with ages.
There are about six people who are 15, working there.

Sell you siblings?

The only job you could is like a milk round, or paper round, i dunno. I need a job, should be easier for me than you though.

Yea. Every year there seems to be something bad happening with my family. When I was in grade 5 my grandpa died. In grade 6, my dad was diagnosed with Multiple Scerlosis. Grade 7, my grandma died. Grade 8, my 45 year old aunt died. In grade 9, last year, my dad fell down and hit his head and was put in the hospital for 2.5 months because he had concusion and was in bed for a week then he couldn't walk since his walking was already bad. So, he had to have physio therapy. And now in grade 10, my papa was diagnosed with cancer and is having radiation therapy and now my grandma.

I feel for you.

I haven't really had many deaths.
Apart from my great aunt. Who died in 2004.
And seeing a car crash the other week, and finding out the next day it was one of the people in my year, and one of my friends was seriously injured. That was horrible, probably the worst week of my life.

But it all gets better. Trust me.

I haven't experienced any family dying so far, luckily, but one of my granddads is pretty ill.

Gnarmageddon 12-26-2005 01:50 PM

My Great Grandpa just died recently.

Angry Balled Fists! 12-26-2005 01:52 PM

I don't have any "greats" living.

Sorry, Spence.

Mute Print 12-26-2005 01:52 PM

Sorry Spence.

This thread has too much sadness in it now. :(

Pazz 12-26-2005 01:53 PM

Maybe we should stop talking about deaths....

Angry Balled Fists! 12-26-2005 02:04 PM

Oh man, i have to go now for a bit.

Firecracker 12-26-2005 02:06 PM

Dream Theater

James LaBrie - Vocals
John Petrucci - Guitar
Mike Portnoy - Percussion
John Myung - Bass
Jordan Rudess - Keyboards

Over their 20 year history they have released eight full length albums, and many things on the side such as live albums, official bootlegs and few track eps, aswell as many different side projects and guest appearances to each musician's name.

My favourite song by them has to be "Take The Time" brought off the 'Images & Words' album, but my favourite album by them, and in my opinion the best concept album ever, is 'Metropolis Pt.2:Scenes From A Memory" it's just brilliant and the live dvd is something special aswell.

Recommendations:
"Panic Attack" from 'Octavarium'
"Pull Me Under" from 'Images & Words'
Six Degrees Of Inner Turbulence
A Change Of Seasons
