New Darkspace sounds promising. They've evolved their sound nicely over their three releases, let's see whether Dark Space III (I'm guessing that's the name :p) will be even more experimental or more stadard black metal again. I want more experimental tbh.

the2stranger 01-12-2008 04:54 AM

Yeah, it's very surprisingly named Darkspace III.

The first CD is my favorite though, the other one is sweet too, but sometimes too ambient, depending on my mood.

Yeah I like the first one the best too. It's has more replay value IMO.

Lol I wonder if the songs will be titled as Dark 3.1, Dark 3.2, etc. :p

Yeah me too.

Bordello 01-12-2008 01:29 PM

Second is better.

Stormrider 01-12-2008 02:28 PM

I need to give the first one a listen. The second one got uninteresting.

Angmar 01-12-2008 03:11 PM

2nd is the best, the black metal sections seriously outweigh any of them on Dark I the ambient parts are nice too.

Silenius 01-12-2008 11:52 PM

I also slightly prefer the second because I feel the heavy palm muted passages of I are sometimes a bit out of place. I am guessing the next CDs first track will be Dark 3.11

Bordello 01-13-2008 12:01 AM

Yeah, those palm muted parts kill the mood. It does have cool samples though.

Silenius 01-13-2008 02:32 AM

I have heard from Protector new Summoning is in the works. :D

Give me a plot and characters and I'll start writing something.

There need to be Rohirric people under a different name. I would call them the 'Grimlings' because they're grim and kvlt and stuff.

i am the robots 01-13-2008 03:43 AM

What about my idea with Dhipsath and the sewers and zombies and ****.
What about my idea with Dhipsath and the sewers and zombies and ****.
OK, Norwegian and Sveedish people called Grimlings fighting their way alongside their unlikely friends, the Jewish oarisk Dwarven race (there need to be a lot of love-hate jokes as with Fagolas and Grimli) in a mighty underground empire of zombies animated by the totally fu¢kable Necropriestesses of the cult of Dhipsath (all clones of Vibeke Stene).

i am the robots 01-13-2008 03:52 AM

Vibeke Stene clones = boner

1338 h4x0r 01-13-2008 04:02 AM
Vibeke Stene clones = boner
It's like the playground scene in the shitty second Matrix film except you fight them off with your stiff erection.

EDIT - I was morally opposed to cloning people until now
In light of recent events with these two sects, I have recieved questions of where my alleigance lies and what my thoughts are on the situations of recent occurance...I am now writing to clarify.

Since I am more closely in tune with the European scene, I have not been privy to all the goings-on regarding the conflict between USBMS and the AUSBMS. I do not know all the words that have been exchanged, nor am I aware of the roots of this conflict. While I do wish that members of the black metal community shared relevant information with me more often, this is not always the case, and I therefore refuse to place blame or point fingers in a situation I am not well informed upon.

I will, however, say that regarding recent conflict, and my most recent observations, that I have my two cents to interject. Now, if anyone wants to further explain to me the details of what has been going on, feel free, but other than this, all I am going to make are general observations.

The black metal community has always faced adversity and trials, persecution and violence. We have always shared common goals, and have always stood together in our beliefs, our music, and in many cases, our image. We have united and grown stronger throughout the years, despite a great many things.

However, as of late, I have discovered that rather than focusing on the true enemy, true trials, and real difficulties, certain associations, bands, and labels have been reduced to squabbling over sometimes irresponsibly stupid issues. I have stood by and witnessed the black metal community fray at the edges, dissolving slowly amongst petty accusations, irrelevant differences, greed, image, and money.

I will not involve myself in any such petty matters; it is a waste of my time and energy. I will focus on the real matters at hand, and supporting the bands, labels, fans, societies, webzines, etc. that actually give a **** about relevant matters and culture.

I welcome those from both sides that are true to our community and have no interest in petty squabbles and name calling. I also realize that when provoked, people have the right to defend themselves.

Beyond this, I have nothing more to say about the situation, unless someone informs me of anything they think would be relevant to my stance.
