anyone here into The Blood Brothers? you should check out Discovery Of A Lifelong Error. they sort of sound like a screamo The Blood Brothers. "'Terra Firma' Might Be Inappropriate" is a fucking stellar track.

Juddybear 09-16-2010 07:07 AM

first blood brothers album is aight but meh, never liked them that much

christsimpson 09-16-2010 07:10 AM

I love all their shit. both the 31G stuff, and the more poppy albums. either way, check out that song I posted on http://www.myspace.com/discoveryofalifelongerror. I'm putting their stuff on my blog, but you can just get it via their MySpace blog.

haven't listened to them in ages

yea the shouts are pretty mliw-ish, except it sounds like he's about to cry the whole time

hismajestythepope 09-17-2010 10:17 AM

Yeah haha, that's why he's awesome though.

christsimpson 09-17-2010 10:18 AM

La Dispute sounds like a more whiny/pompous WPW? imo. only heard like fifteen secs of a La Dispute track though...

DBlitz 09-17-2010 10:20 AM

What Price, Wonderland?

?

haven't listened to them yet

hismajestythepope 09-17-2010 10:21 AM

They're mad whiny but that's why it's awesome.
I sure don't. snoozefest '10
They're mad good at times but fucking boring other times. Mad hit and miss idk.

And lol did Xplisit put me on ignore? Adorable.

whiteminority 09-17-2010 10:29 AM

I think I got the miss end of the stick tbh.

Ignoring people on here is a little ridiculous. I used to do it to indietrash but I learned to lol more and am now a happier person.

hismajestythepope 09-17-2010 10:36 AM

Yeah, Alex is pretty cool tbh.

Not really emo, but I've been listening to Witness (by MLIW) so much lately. Definitely one of the most emotional / amazing hardcore albums of the past decade.

DBlitz 09-17-2010 10:37 AM

yea witness is awesome
They're mad whiny but that's why it's awesome.

Listen to this song Alex:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a90F9idUtys
p cool. they have feedback. that rules. but it's a tad bit clean. it has a little modern "post-hardcore" (i.e. clean and accessible hardcore) sound, and comes of as a bit too clean and put on to me. but that song was decent, and I think I can get into this if I listen some more, and really dig in.

I still prefer Euromo like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-W_duNP-0Y4 though, when it comes to newer emo/hardcore/stuff.

hismajestythepope 09-17-2010 03:05 PM

that was pretty cool

christsimpson 09-17-2010 03:12 PM

I like the rawness the Eastern European bands bring to the table. they are often technical and you know... good. but they are so raw and emotive.

here's one of my ultimate favourites: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4dl_IZGUnM0. they are from Kazakhstan. (they are not an example of a technical band at all btw :P)
